As a lawyer, I just can't use an iPhone. Okay, I get it, it's better in several ways, makes some tasks a lot easier, and within the Apple ecosystem, it feels magical. But for my routine and line of work, it just doesn't work. I'm using a Fold 4 for about a year and a half. The first feature that alone made me a Samsung convert is the automatic call recorder. Having recordings of everything said on a call is a lifesaver in my legal practice. Using two apps at the same time is amazing, and I simply can't go back to a single-app view. At the end of the day, it's the same old story: there's no single best device. There's the one that fits our needs better. For me, at least for now, it will have to be a Samsung flagship. And I have to say, I've become addicted to your content! Please, continue this amazing work!

You must live outside the US. In the US call recording is not supported by any phone manufacturer due to the individual state laws on the practice. Some its ok, some its not.

"As a lawyer"...🤣🤣🤣 gotta be honest man, maybe because I work in tech, but the absolute dumbest people I've met when it comes to understanding anything new (let alone technology) were lawyers. I've seen people in your line of work stick to the oldest pieces of technology for the dumbest reasons. There was head of counsel few years ago that didn't know you could download Whatsapp in his phone and use it simultaneously with iMessage, and because of that reason he was using a 6 year old phone that "came with Whatsapp" LMAO. And we couldn't make him change, despite being a massive security risk.

I use both Apple products and Samsung/google products. Personally I never experienced any issues with app availability on Android other than some Apple specific apps. But I am no filmmaker or photographer. I think apps have improved drastically on Android during the last few years compared to how it used to be. And if you are into open source apps there is a huge library there as well which you will never be able to get on iOS. In terms of bad apps, I have seen a lot of pretty horrible apps, but that goes for both iOS and Android.

Agreed, I can't think of a single app on my iPhone that I use regularly that I can't get on my Pixel. I use Apple for work (Company issued phone) and Android for personal. The restrictions on Apple is the most frustrating part of using iPhone. iPhone doesn't have DEX or an easy accessible file system. iPhone and its accessories are expensive while my Samsung Galaxy S23FE does everything and more than the iPhone. I cant side load apps on my iPhone while I can on my Samsung. My Samsung allows for customizable icon packs along with different launchers. With the last update, Android offers live translation during phone calls.
@voteDC
@voteDC 5 ай бұрын
In absolute fairness you can sideload apps onto an iPhone, it's just a pain in the arse to actually do. You need a free Apple Developer account and an app on your computer like Sideloadly. You can then sideload .ipa files but only three at a time and you need to refresh them every seven days.
@Jbrimbelibap
@Jbrimbelibap 5 ай бұрын
@@voteDC I would probably get through the pain of doing that If I had an iPhone, but that's complete bullshit. You shouldn't need to leave the phone to install an app If I'm using my PC to install stuff on my phone, it's probably that I'm installing fucking windows 11 for arm on a Poco X3 Pro or reinstalling my whole operating system Also the generally more powerful iPhones don't even have any good emulators so that power is just sort of wasted
@voteDC
@voteDC 5 ай бұрын
@@Jbrimbelibap I have an old iPhone SE (2016) that I messed around with sideloading on and it really wasn't worth the effort. Now that Apple are allowing emulators onto the App Store I'd actually consider an iPhone for my next device. I have a Poco X3 Pro and I've been looking into Project Renegade. It's a lot more daunting than sideloading a .ipa onto an iPhone.

My note 10 plus had this bug where I cant update apps, spen not working properly, connectivity issues especially with data. I know you dont know yet what "it just works" means but it's true. Just switched to Iphone when the iphone 13 pro max launched. Reason why? My wife and I bought new phone in 2019z she is still using her iphone 11 pro max, on the latest IOS version still fluid and usable. While I only used my note 10 plus for more or less 2 years. @@ranju2873lol. Think of this. Note 10 plus and Iphone 11 pro max both released 2019. Which phone do you think is on its latest OS version? Then which phone do you think is compatible with newer app version? That's the reason why it just works. Android phones almost always not on its latest OS version. Even if Samsung promise 4 years support you can never expect it to get update on time. It's only good for the first year of its release then will become outdated in just a year unless the new OS version is out. The problem is the older the android the longer the wait time.

So, a long time ago I was an iPod Touch user and generally I was very happy about the device. After that for 10 years I used the best Android phones available including HTC M8, Samung S7, Note 8, then Fold 3 and now... I'm writing this comment from iPhone 12 mini. Literally everything works better on iPhone. Starting from phone calls, which open immediately, Teams doesn't have bug which disables your speaker for other apps, Outlook which should be an Android optimised app is million times faster. If you click on notification from the lock screen apps open immediately compared to what I saw in my fold3. I miss the big foldable screen and specially the S-Pen in the Note8, but the reliability is so much better!

I remember trying an iPhone 7 and 13 mini. Holy hell, those phones were atrocious for my usage. There were so many things I couldn't do. I couldn't block ads in KZbin anymore, unless I started paying for it, I couldn't block ads and pop ups efficiently because the browsers are all just mobile safari and it is useless (the extensions on chrome and Firefox are just better), I couldn't run emulators which finally became a thing the other day for iPhones (let's see how long that lasts), I couldn't download apps that Apple doesn't approve of, no torrents, if I torrents an OS how do I get the file? If I downloaded an album in 24 bit I couldn't just listen to it immediately (maybe there was a way but I could not figure it out), no 24 bit flac support, Bluetooth sounded worse because no AptX HD, no LDAC either, storage was a huge problem because file management was worse because of how half butt Apple's implementation is, keyboards sucked and Apple would turn them off in certain instances, face ID during COVID 🤣🤦🏿‍♂️, Apple Maps was the bane of my existence. It also liked being default for many things though it sucked. SIRI IS DUMB. Her stupidity annoyed the hell out of me. That's why he kept talking about automation. Normally I'd just ask Google Assistant to take care of it and we've seen enough comparisons over the years to know that Siri is dumb. Now there's Gemini and Siri is even further behind. The problems this KZbinr went over are definitely real and opened my eyes to how poorly supported Android is on cinematography/videography or whatever but I don't work with this stuff and neither does most people. His parking App needs to be addressed by whatever government officials they have. In South Florida we have maybe 3 and all work wonderfully on all my Android phones and if there is a problem you can use the browser (I had to do this once a couple years ago).

@@orangeyellow-me1pz Yeah. That depends on usage, iPhones were always targeted into creativity market like movie makeing. I personally don't use assistants. In Poland the only one that supports our language is Google Assistant. iPhones had always been in Poland and more and more people use them but Apple is annoyingly reluctant and doesn't support our language. Regarding the codec. Be aware that all Android phones resample audio on playback to 48khz to there's no point for downloading higher sample rate for them. I'm not sure about bit rate though.
@orangeyellow-me1pz
@orangeyellow-me1pz 5 ай бұрын
@@bombapiotrdefinitely wrong on that part about resampling. Some Android phones definitely don't have to. LG notably and if you use third party apps such as Neutron, power amp, USB audio player and maybe tons more, you don't have to worry about it. You kinda have to use third party though because Android doesn't have a dedicated media player anymore just as Apple doesn't have a calculator, lol, this is ridiculous. Both these operating systems don't have such basic features. Also, iOS and iPad still don't multitask. What the heck is that about?

Using non-Apple products is difficult, which I don’t find with my Samsung. My iPhone has to go through Apple’s software to transfer anything from a non-Apple device. I can’t usually get an App to do certain task that an iPhone can’t, I can get that on my Samsung and other Android devices. I just sold my iPad 9th gen to Google and got a Pixel tablet. The iPad just didn't work for me at all. It was good for streaming with Hulu, Disney+ and Prime but that was it. I knew it was limited and browsing would suck so I only used it for streaming. It doesn't block pop-ups well enough for serious browsing even with goodish extensions from the app store of course but it can't compete with a full fledged Chromium browser like kiwi on Android or even Firefox on Android (the real Firefox not the joke you guys have). Go to love a real file system as well. I can do rar and 7zip stuff as well. I can torrent as well and I can just put the file on an external drive with no fuss. Not sure how document editing would go on an iPad but I think it should be good. I just never tried it because of the poor file system thing and the lightning port on that particular iPad. Also, it works well as an assistant thanks to Gemini. Siri was too dumb.

I actually genuinely switched last year. I used the pixel 7 pro for a couple months then paid extra to switch to the galaxy s23 ultra since the pixel battery life became abysmal for some reason. I ended up switching back to iPhone and got the 15 pro max around Christmas time so I was on android for about 10 months. Using the phone itself was as you said fun. Being able to customize your phone themes and Home Screen, having a variety of apps for different uses to choose from. Feeling like my phone was more of a multitool type of device at times, its was pretty neat. Then what happened was I got a MacBook after not having one for several years. The difference in fluidity and ease of using apps and services on Macos compared to android made the "fun" part of using the android phone go away. After a while when the novelty of the customization options and extra features wained, then I really started to notice how much the apps stuttered, or how they were missing some standard features like dark mode. I noticed how video quality wasn't as good. Then my sister had my niece and trying to coordinate the family group chat and share photos and videos even got worse. On top of all of that the great battery life the S23 Ultra had for some reason diminished and I noticed it would start to hang and overheat while I was using it the same way as before. Android phones were my first smartphones and I had one up until the iPhone X came out. I think though now with my current job and lifestyle, I feel old savying this, but it's more important that my phone be consistently good than sometimes amazing. I'm okay not having a stylus or a 100x zoom , or a bigger screen either if it means my phone will take consistently good photos and videos and apps will do what they're supposed to every time.

Your video was great-thank you! Also, congratulations on your full transition to KZbin video creation! - Samsung has a dedicated automation app similar to iPhone's, and it performs well. - For other phones, several apps have been providing automation tasks since Android's inception-Apple actually borrowed this feature from Android. - Samsung laptops offer the same synchronization features. If you're using other phones with Windows, the synchronization is still quite good. - Challenges arise when using a mix of devices like a MacBook, iPad, AirPods, Android phone, and Android watch. It's a bit painful but still manageable through Google sync and file transfers via the ARC app (speaking from experience as a user). - With the new Windows on ARM featuring built-in ChatGPT, it's possible that Apple could lose its dominance. I hope Apple will introduce AI features at the upcoming WWDC.

I’m slowly getting sucked back into apple’s ecosystem again too. I have a pixel 7 pro rn and an iPhone XR running dopamine jailbreak. And an m2 iPad with serotonin jailbreak, with some beats earbuds and beats headphones mostly. Android is good by itself always has been. Apple is crazy tho, it’s actually insane how all their form factors and how influential and stuff they are in the market. I feel like apple releases stuff at the right time for apple users, but with android you can just buy whatever anytime for a similar experience. But anyways I think jailbreak and jailbreak tweaks and TrollStore and ipas and stuff, is debatably better and higher quality than android customization, tweaks, custom roms, root. I wouldn’t say I’m biased at all cause androids also been good since the start too. I guess people just are unlucky with bad experiences with apple devices at the wrong time lol. When an apple device does basically the same thing as android but better looking, more minimal, more familiarity. And also with the current thinness of the M4 iPad. It’s gonna make all the thicker androids less relevant physical design wise once they release an iPhone with the thinness of m4 iPad, to where android just gonna copy that next. People say apple doesn’t change anything every year. But I disagree. The modern-cy is nice. And also if they put like a brushed aluminum/titanium finish out that can hide minor blemishes and stuff and make self repair feasible that’d be nice. Also going back to why apple is insane, I like how solid iPhones/iPads are getting nowadays. Contrary what others might say. Take the iPad Pro specifically with the keyboard case, the iPad with the keyboard case doesn’t need an actual case to rely on 24/7 . It seems like apples getting really confident with their construction quality that it makes me feel more comfortable to use my devices without a case most of the time. I also don’t like the fact they pushed Google Pixel 7 Pro out of the market so quick for $800 brand new, android 15 supposed to be last major android update for it, which is highly disappointing. If you want 6+ years of major software updates on an android it requires buying a 2024 android pretty much lol. And also ios feels like an actual “software” . Android feels like everything runs through a web browser which I don’t really like. Also when companies started going towards the “flat design “. That’s when android lost most of its personality, apple still does the flat design better than android does lol even without “skuemorphism” something like android 5 lollipop was actual unique UI-wise. Googles find my sucks compared to apples. Beats studio buds are nice tho cause they’re made with both apple and android in mind so it’s equally compatible, but ever since apple added the quick pairing and stuff that’s one feature I don’t want to give that up. I like iTunes too, compared to something like adb for android that’s more command line based. To me android is just a generic underlaying version of iOS, cause iOS can technically emulate things like “root (rootful/rootless) & superuser permissions" similar to android through jailbreak. Androids good on its own. But apples always had more of a natural less artificial feeling to it to me if that makes sense. Some of it might be bold claims. It’s definitely what I’m leaning to though based off personal preference and experience with both at the current moment, I still think iPhone/apple is better most of the time, I haven’t found anything else that exactly compares to apple to make me ditch them for good , so therefore I think ios is better to me for most part. I’ve had a complete opposite experience compared to stereotypical android user claims. Honestly tho I’m obsessed with both iOS and android still. ill easily use either one of them. Jailbreak definitely helps too. I just seem to definitely prefer apple tho, more solid to me overall

@@sundaranandadas I’ve been having a lot of fun with jailbreaking again recently. I’m mostly more of a standard user, but I like to still have the freedom of changing things on devices I own. I don’t upgrade too frequently, so I kinda like how jailbreak/custom roms for android and stuff can help keep older devices “alive” longer too. I don’t think most users typically have any intentions to root/jailbreak tho. I’ve always been a fan of it though since jailbreaking like iPod touch 4th gen and rooting Google Nexus 5 and stuff back in the day. Some people say root/jailbreak doesn’t offer any significant value nowadays, I’m still appealed to it though. To me, it seems like apple just doesn’t want people to really jailbreak on whatever their current version is at the time. Jailbreaks typically a year or so behind. While you still have the option to root/customize an android pretty much any time reliably. Usually for me , I just watch like KZbin, or browse social media, or listen to music most of the time on my phone so android and iPhone work fairly equally to me for most part. I have like a KZbin Music jailbreak tweak I use and KZbin Music Revanced for android. I’d say the jailbreak tweak for ios is a little bit better compared to Revanced, cause it natively integrates into the KZbin music app directly , where once you have the jailbreak applied, it just seems to work everytime for me. Revanced for android, sometimes that gets a little bit bugged out due to possibly Google Service integrity or maybe microg acting up sometimes, very rarely tho. It’s hard to rely on apple for a jailbreak tho, so I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it over Android if you like the guarantee of more freedom on Android. And even with jailbreak it doesn’t seem like there’s any compatible tweaks nowadays that can let you simply just move icons anywhere , so that’s another point I’ll give to Android. iOS icons seem to be more stuck in a grid where there’s an Atria jailbreak tweak that just lets you resize the columns and rows pretty much. Outside of that though, there’s customization tweaks for Lock Screen, music player, status bar, notifications, control center, or where you can get simple things like a “kill all” apps button for the app switcher, or there’s tweaks that kind of go along with the overall color theme of the UI and stuff. Might sound a bit silly, but I also have like an “always on” display tweak for my old jailbroken XR, it works fairly okay even tho it’s an IPS panel and stuff. But I also have like a jailbreak tweak that changes like the background of my phone with whatever music is playing so that kinda gets bugged out sometimes with the “always on” display tweak. I started to become obsessed with apple again when dopamine jailbreak came out for iOS 15/16 cause my iPhone XR was on 15.2 to be able to jailbreak it. It’s basically just registering TrollStore to like “tips” app with persistence helper, to be able to sideload the ipa for dopamine jailbreak. There’s also something for jailbreak that helps keep the side loaded apps from expiring, so I don’t really have to refresh the sideloaded apps every 7 days, not too sure on this off the top of my head tho. Then there’s like terminal jailbreak tweak for command entry, filza to be able to browse system files, where you can transfer stuff between like filza and the regular files app, or modify system files, etc. i try not to try to change too much outside of the base software tho on any device . Android has like Magisk, custom roms, colorblndr, and stuff like that which is all pretty good. I think jailbreak tweaks are a little bit more satisfying for me tho. If you find an Android with a good skin and stuff though, then you might not need to feel the need to change it. Samsungs pretty appealing still, I wouldn’t give that up , unless you just want to find a jailbreakable apple device for similar functionality. If you’re quite happy and content with your Samsung then I wouldn’t say anything else is necessarily better then that. But if you are interested in jailbreaking right now, I’d maybe look at ios.cfw.guide website/Google, or possibly jailbreak subreddit on Reddit. The 13/14 is dopamine jailbreakable on iOS 16.5 or less . While the 12,11 support 16.5.1 or less. 8/X is permanently exposed to checkra1n/palera1n jailbreak for 16.7.8, but palera1n disables faceid/touch id & Apple Pay on the 8/X. But there’s also like the A10(X) Ex. iPad 6th gen , that’s also exposed to checkra1n that can be palera1n jailbroken on latest iOS 17.5.1 rn. Serotonin jailbreak for 16.6.1 or less is like dopamine jailbreak, just few extra steps/not as stable. If you want the latest version and a constant up to date phone and stuff and guarantee of reliable customization, etc. I’d still choose Android as a better deal still. That’s not saying jailbreak is bad tho. Just a lot harder to get for apple devices. You might be able to find one in a decent condition on a low enough version off eBay possibly. The 6s, and 7, and SE 1st gen also support dopamine jailbreak on 15.8.2 rn, tho those are getting severely outdated nowadays. Other than that ios 17 isn’t fully reliable for jailbreak right now at least. While they’re about to release 18. I will say tho. iOS 15 is slowly starting to become less reliable , just cause apps like ChatGPT is made for iOS 16 or newer cause it’s built off different apis or something, with everything heading towards ai direction more nowadays, so even if you can “install” it, it’s just gonna crash still. Cause iOS 15 framework doesn’t support the same framework that iOS 16 has. There’s a jailbreak tweak called SiriGPT though, it directly connects Siri to ChatGPT apis. Though it may not be as perfect as actual Gemini/Google Assistant or the actual app for ChatGPT , haven’t used it yet though so I’m not entirely sure. I haven’t really dived much into virtual AI/automation yet. The downside with a lot of jailbreak tweaks is their paid. You might be able to find like cracked repos and stuff, but some tweaks are linked up through like activation keys and stuff so some them are hard to pirate . Legacy jailbreak with older apple devices just as relevant still, tho the actual app support and website support and stuff is not actually there, older apple devices are better for offline use mostly. Back then it used to be tethered vs untethered, where you have to reapply the jailbreak each time you reboot with tethered. Untethered cool, but I don’t mind tethered nowadays cause there’s still preventative measures and like a safe mode and stuff if a tweak were to potentially act up, if you restore through iTunes to a newer version and lose jailbreak, that’s kind of like a last resort type of thing. Back then SHSH blobs used to be relevant where you can trick apples update servers into thinking you’re restoring to a “signed” version to be able to keep jailbreak still if you do have to restore, not sure how relevant shsh blobs are nowadays, might be a complete miss, I saved a couple tho just in case, that way I could maybe potentially upgrade to a newer version to keep jailbreak still once a jailbreak comes out for that version, but like I said those might be completely useless nowadays, so I’m not trying to rely on them. I’d say there’s a good amount of potential with jailbreak and a decent amount of potential work around a and stuff for certain things or where it can maybe introduce like “newer features” onto older phones , it’s just frustrating apple doesn’t naturally allow it like Android does. I still like the versatility/uniqueness of Android though, doesn’t hurt to have a different phone every now and then that’s not an apple device. There’s some aspects to Android I like, and then some other things on apple that I prefer. And then I was gonna say the iPad has better specs than iPhone rn. They make a UTM Virtual Machine app, where you can emulate windows/linux/Android possibly directly on an iOS device, but it’s a virtual machine so it’s definitely not going to run the best/not a lot of spare hardware allocation for something like that quite yet, and then TrollStore/altstore let’s you sideload like older game emulators and stuff to be able to run them with JIT for better compatibility. And then you still got apps like retroarch or delta on App Store. Some people say they run into issues with apps detecting jailbreak access. Haven’t really had any issues with that personally, except for maybe something like ChatGPT app, for the apps I use on a day to day basis at least. I like to think the base software/apps are secure enough, so I don’t think jailbreak/root necessarily corrupts all your device privacy/security . As far as warranty with jailbreak. It could avoid the warranty possibly, but if you were to say take into an Apple Store to get a repair, then you can probably tell them not to update your phone or anything like that if you wanted to keep jailbreak still. I like how semi tethered jailbreaks nowadays has jailbroken state and like where you can easily revert back to stock ios if you really wanted to. I will say tho “iPadOS” was a little disappointing at first. But since mine was compatible with serotonin jailbreak that made it a little more fun again to actually use. But the keyboard for it kinda annoys me. Cause a lot of mobile based games still don’t support the keyboard or anything, and there doesn’t seem to be any jailbreak tweaks that let you reprogram the keys or anything with the apps, since app developers aren’t including support for it. Sorry that I made these comments so long, just wanted to provide a quick little summary

Finally someone gets it! I've always felt that a jailbroken iPhone/iPad gives a much better hardware AND software experience than their android counterpart. I still use a jailbroken iPad mini from 2012 for school. That's a 12 year old device on its original battery! I have a bunch of android devices(Android TV, galaxy tab) but they are primarily entertainment machines and nothing else. Dex is okay for productivity but nothing groundbreaking since it literally feels like ChromeOS. File management is really the only thing I find better to me on android. Even customization with apps like Widgy are narrowing the gap between iOS and android customization. I'm currently on the 15 pro(unjailbroken) and have unlimited sideloading(revoked certificates) for apps like uYouEnhanced, Spotilife, YTMusicUltimate which I find more stable than android apps like revanced, Xmanager etc. I honestly prefer going through hoops to get sideloading as that means only those who know what they're doing will be rewarded. Yes, there are still permissions which Apple still prevent you from using such as JIT for emulation but it is a work in progress. As Apple provides more features that android have natively(whether copying android or jailbreak tweaks), the better it will be. Apple makes great products with some hefty restrictions but once you find a hole in their wall(aka jailbreak or abusing certificates with DNS servers) it becomes a much better experience.

I use iPhone too just because of the security, video and simplicity, can't imagine troubleshooting my phone.. But I main Windows and Linux, because phone is prebuilt and many expect prebuilt to work flawlessly, like TV's, but android... It's like Linux, constant troubleshooting, installed an app, doesn't work, why? No answer unlike in Linux, either way rebuild the app if there's the source or you don't have a choice but to wait.

In fact Apple is facing a lawsuit for intentionally stopping certain features from 3rd party apps and gears. The same app works like a charm on my pixel phone. Apple only wants their products to connect seamlessly. But, Apple Watch ultra does not fulfill my needs as an athlete. I have a Garmin HRM pro. It's a professional grade pedometer for triathletes which connects with my Garmin watch and then my phone app. And sad to say i can't use it with my iPhone. But only Android. I think when a company/corporation get involved in app development they prioritise creating it for ios over android and i think they don't even test it on Android before publishing it to the playstore. Apple having large userbase and limited number of phones makes it easier to optimise the app while 1000s of android phone just keep coming every year with such variety that makes you through the optimisation in garbage bin. Its really sad.

Samsung pay is honestly the dealbreaker for me, it’s the only one of the 3 big pay apps that still doesn’t accept my credit union, also the fact that it’s basically bloatware on every device that is extremely difficult to remove by design is incredibly obnoxious. As it stands I still prefer my Apple Watch SE to the galaxy watches because double press to open wallet works, with a Samsung gear It requires setting up Google pay and then navigating to it to pay which is much more of a pain. Throw in the random nonsensical crashes you experience in Android vs the stability you get with Apple and it becomes very difficult to justify switching back. Not for nothing but Samsung/Android have their own issues they need to get sorted. Also the flip 6 left a bad taste in my mouth with its wack aspect ratio, as someone who uses my phone for gaming and media consumption having the main game I play on my phone be locked into portrait mode only because Samsung couldn’t be bothered to make the flip wide enough to support traditional aspect ratios was a dealbreaker, a more narrow portrait mode with no landscape makes for some really shit gaming

This is easily the best demonstration as to why i will be going team apple for the first time next year. I have been team android forever and it was a good run so far but now i am older, don't have time and don't even want to fiddle with crap. I use my phone as a tool, not as an entertainment device (though at times it fills that role too). If i didn't have access to an iphone 13 for the past couple of years now and i only remained with my android devices (S23U current) i too would have thought that nothing is wrong except some inconveniences here and there. The more i used the iphone the more annoyed i got with my android. Direct comparisons, especially for basic stuff, is just no contest in favour of the iphone. Now, after this long and with the iphones on team type-C i have decided to bite the bullet and get myself my very own iphone (next phone contract) but keep the S23U for general stuff but not as my main device. An experience that started very annoyingly inconvenient for me turned out to actually result in my decision to jump ship. You really can't explain it to somebody who is not involved and uses their device as a toy.

I think this demonstrates very well how important it is to know which ecosystem works best with your line of work. As a musician, it's undeniable how much more fun it is to use Apple products. My architect friends all use Windows because of their AutoCAD programs. As much as I think Apple is a completely unethical company that keeps making my stuff break after 6 years so I have to buy new stuff, so are the other companies, and I'd much rather suffer with the Apple products than the Windows/Android products. Also, Apple's products generally have a nicer build quality/feel, despite being behind on some features.

Damn dude, that's an awesome video! Really showed me a lot. Now, in my daily life, being from India, I have sort of an opposite situation. Apps which are global, like Instagram, they are really well optimised even for my iPhone SE 2, although thoroughly annoyed they don't have an ipad app for it, but not my point. On my realme 6, it used to not be as fast, and that's that. Even banking apps open faster, don't have as many bugs, etc. But what is interesting is that a lot of government apps do not even have an app store app, and since sideloading is not possible, it is completely impossible to get them. There are no Teslas here, so most of the automation things do not bother me, but what sorta bothers me is the fact that wifi and bluetooth do not turn off, so I set two shortcuts to do them. But for android, I am impressed. First off, realme 6 was also launched in the same year as the SE, which is 2020, and at launch it was about a third of the cost of the SE [15000 INR vs 45000 INR], and I have installed custom ROMs (thoroughly voiding warranty, but idc coz its too old to have one), but what I get is still a fast and snappy phone with granular controls, unlimited google photos storage, a pixel camera port (known as a gcam mod apk, clicks stellar pictures compared to the stock app), and still a phone to use for Train location tracking, train ticket booking, metro card recharge, all things not available on the iphone. I am completely aware of the fact that I do not have the highest end of stuff, but I am quite partial to the android experience, especially the fact that I do not have to come across any single ad during use. I use a mod that doesn't even show ads on instagram, and little things like these make the tradeoff of not that optimised software fine by me. Just giving an account of my experience, YMMV, but I can totally see how that walled garden is an issue. Using an iPhone (my main) and iPad, studies flow like crazy, but for fun times, the android has me covered (: On a side note, I think a mentality aspect is also crucial here. I am a student who still has the curiosity to be granular about things, as in I prefer my stuff to be separated rather than locked in together, but as a father of two, I can completely see how you would value convenience and peace of mind over a hassle to solve some problem with your phone, or laptop, stuff like that.

@@babor_ also true. Official apple repair for a phone that has the internals almost 6 years old, battery replacement officially costs 6800 INR, whereas official cost for battery repair for realme is 1200 INR, and most androids don't cross the 2000 INR barrier, whereas even the 14 battery replacement costs almost 9000 INR. I'm not even going into back glass and screen repair, which is a whole other level

There are thousands of android phone manufacturer out there. and they have different display sizes, camera lenses, chip sets, etc. it is next to impossible for developers to design the same app individually tailored for all the different type of hardware. Its just hard to make something that one size fits all.....for now. But that being said, the examples you provided are really super specific for your personal need. Tried Android early on - laughed at the 3 button layout (pinch-to-zoom ftw on Apple). I became an Apple fan for a while, but switched to Android when it offered more capable refinements and freedom. Now, I value open ecosystems for the amount of things I can do and see Apple just copying even if it is a sometimes more polished. I find a wider world of possibilities with tools outside Apple, but the choice depends on your community and need. For example I was scripting to automate tasks previously on expensive Macs even for video workflows and XServes. I wouldn't completely switch back now that I have so much power in designing what I want a system to do for me. The only temptation being that I loved my old Final Cut Pro life and work.

It’s very challenging for app developers to make apps for Android because there are so many versions of Android. Samsung has one UI. One plus has Oxygen. Google has stock. Especially when at the time Android only got software upgrades ranging from 1 year, 3 years and now 7 years depending on the brand. How much longer will those apps be compatible is in question. Whereas it’s easier for developers to make apps for Apple because even though there’s iOS for iPhone or iOS for iPad, etc. Apple’s structure stays consistent. Despite that I am an Android user, I give points to Apple for the software consistency and simplicity . But I give Android points for hardware and some software flexibility.

While Apple does have a strong domination in the US, do keep in mind that Android is not exclusively Samsung. Depending where you source the information from, 39-45% of smartphones in the US run Android, so the figure isn't 5-to-1 as you implied, but a much closer 3-to-2. P.S. I'm not sure where you got 25 million Samsung users from but most reports put Samsung at 24% of the US mobile phone market, which would be closer to 65-70 million.

So, this is a very limited usage scenario only for video editors. I went on a trip to Malaysia- India- Canada. 1. All parking apps worked great in every country. 2. Ride sharing apps worked great 3. I wirelessly charged my watch from phone in the car , cannot do that in apple. 4. I clicked a lot of videos , pics than came to hotel , hooked my hard drive to phone and copied everything. Don't know iphone can do that 5. Used samsung & Google wallet with no issues 6. My phone is dual sim, so used local sim in each country plus my home sim. I don't think iphone has any dusl physicsl sim options. 7. I can use high quality LDAC audio. Iphone don't do that. 8. I had to do an interview, i opened a pdf file in half screen and in other half zoom meeting in my Samsung Tab. Cannot do that in ipad 9. I can take pics using my s pen as remote control, so i can switch to front or back camera , click pics, start video recording. 10. I can hook my phone to a computer and use it as an external hard drive. Without any software. 11. Can copy paste anything, pics, .exe files, iso files directly to my phone without any restriction. 12. Use my phone in dex mode - that is hook to a monitor and use it as a small desktop 13. Can change language, icons, colors, lock screen, fonts even the whole interface using launchers. 14. I can charge wirrlessly other phones using my phone. 15. Can screen record anything in high quality. 16. And using S pen is just on other level. For example, i never take print outs sign and scan, i just sign banking / official documents on the phone and send them back by email. 17. Can download torrents directly on phone. 18. Samsung has a secure folder, where it creates a separate account for u, u can install apps in that account or keep files securely in it. So even if u give phone to someone else, they cannot see ur files or internet history, what's app chat etc. 19. I can play you tube video on half screen and browse internet, work on pdf files on the other half screen. It's like getting entertained while working. 20. Same with video players, can llay the movie in a pop windows or half screen while doing other work like booking tickets or attending zoom meeting lol. When iphone does all these things, i will give it another try. I did tried it for 2 days and i realized it's for simple men who just click on 3 icons mess call and camera. Sorry if it's not true, i just used it for 2 days. Content creators are different , as they are minority and don't represent common masses who use phone for daily common needs.
