Sir, I really fancy your content and acknowledge them too I tried reaching out to you on LinkedIn as well but i guess you're a little busy these days. So I'd like to shoot my query here I'm planning to switch my career from Biotechnology to food technology The reason being is that i think Biotechnology offers job which are majorly related to research field And food technology offers jobs into management and operations side as well..and I'm more attracted towards the operations side than the research work so this confusion definitely gained clarity to a tad with this video. But if my thought process is wrong,a correction to the same would be well appreciated sir:) I hope you'd heed to my comment Have a good day!

I don't think you're wrong with this approach. You can definitely go for food technology if the job roles of food industry interest you. And a lot of people switch from biotech or life sciences to food technology because it's more application and operation based domain.

Sir, I also have doubts. And this was one of them and now you made it solved. Thank you sir and Thanks to Nimisha also. I'm Nebil Muhammed Sha, from Kerala. Another dout is, I am a double degree student in Bsc Botany & Biotechnology. Now it's time for Msc and I have two options in front of me. 1, Choose MSc Biotechnology, Bioinformatics etc (like my Seniors). 2, Choose MSc Food Technolgy. When looking my intrest, I'm interested in both fields and i know both feilds are good, but don't know which is better for me. And when I examined my interest, i find more interest towards Food tech when compared to Biotech. The reason I think is that, I had completed a 1 year Certificate in Canning and Food Preservation and a 2 month Certificate course in Assistant Dietician and both of them were nice. I'm little bit confused and I don't know what to choose.. And I check for an opinion in Google, KZbin and all.. but didn't find a good satisfying answer. Could you please help me.

Hi Foodtech simplified I'm trying to pursue my PG in FOOD CHEMISTRY AND PROCESSING. My doubt is after completing my PG I have plans of pursuing PhD at either one of the following : NIFTEM CFTRI IIFPT ICT BHU Am I eligible or would they reject me as I didn't do PG in FOOD TECHNOLOGY /NUTRITION /SCIENCE. Is MSc Food Chemistry and Processing is eligible for doing PhD in the above stated universities.
