You can put this era of logic in service mode by putting heating control on e then doing the turns to max. I find it easier than guessing the 10 o clock postion

Great video mate. Subscribed! Ive got this exact boiler. Its began making a rattling noice on start up and also has started doing the same noise when hot water has been running. I had a company come and service hoping it would solve the problem but it hasnt.. could i send you a video to see if you recognise the noise n help diagnose? Cheers
@bluebulldog_uk10 ай бұрын
Yeah send a video mate, more than likely it’s the burner on them, the plate comes loose or they become blocked up 👍

Quick question, I’ve not used that rapid blue stuff before but bought some. Is it effective when the rad isn’t new and I’m just changing the valves? Or should I just use it when both the rad and valves are new? Love your content. Keep it up 👍
@bluebulldog_uk11 ай бұрын
Rapid blue I only use on new threads and rads etc, little bit of dirt or moisture and it won’t adhere…really good stuff thou 👍

Be careful, I've been told not to use screwdrivers or anything metal whilst trying to pull the sump off as it's an aluminium heat exchanger and can damage easily

Ideal will tell you never to pour cold water down them, especially if you suspect not been done for a few years as it can all congeal as the cones narrow at the bottom causing flame failure and possibly new heat ex. One of the worst designs of a heat ex I’ve ever seen.
@bluebulldog_uk2 ай бұрын
Yeah the design is bad, just funnels into a blockage
