It is not about the quality it is about the player talaga. Sabi nga ng mentor ko sa pag drums kahit yupi yupi amg cymbals o luma ang drumset kaya yan patunugin na maganda basta ang palo ay hindi basta basta nalang. I once saw him playing drums na hi-hat, at crash cymbal, snare isang high tom, at floor tom at bass drum mga lumang gamit pero napatunog niya ng smooth at kuhang kuha yung sinasabing ideal sound. Knowledge about playing and taking care of our instruments is very necessary. Especially sa mga musicians. Lets treat the instruments as our own instruments kahit hindi sa atin ito. Hindi sapat na marunong ka lang tumugtog. Dapat may Knowledge din sa lahat ng aspeto ng sound, dynamics at tones ng instruments. With all due respect po sa mga nag cocomment I just want to say this. They are just telling us what's the ideal tone of those instruments mentioned. At sa naintindihan ko sa buong video they're trying to tell us na we should utilize the full capacity of our equipments regardless of its price (especially nung sinabi nyang may mga mumurahin na amplifiers). So if you think na hindi pa talaga achieve ng equipments nyo ang ideal tone, edi continue to desire to have better equipments wag yung basta nyo nalang sabihin na "kasi mayaman ang church nyo". Wag ganun, toxicity yan. What they have today are just fruits of what they have done for the Lord. All of the negative words we say unto them will bring us nowhere po. God Bless us all!

Sir baka sabihin mo mayaman kami kaya di ako relate sa drums na kalawang. Sir I've been serving a church na wala pang building na for more than 10 years untill now. We just really took care of our things and try to make them become still useful for many years pa and try to maintain the quality.

Not because a word is negative by its nature, it should be automatically taken as an insult. For me it was just used to describe the state of the instrument. And most probably the state of the instrument is the fruit of how it was maintained.

@@slowdawnphmusic Sorry po pero maraming drums na luma na sa mga churches ay walang kalawang dahil regular nililinis ng drummer yung drums. We are promoting good stewardship at hindi po ito panglalait. Hindi po natin pera ang pinangbili ng equipment kaya to the least sana ay linisin at ingatan ang mga ito. At hindi naman po siguro ikahihirap ng church kung bibili ng drum head na gagamitin naman at least 2 years. Marami po kaming napupuntahan na churches na hinid na inaasa sa church yung pagbili ng strings ng guitars at drumhead, yung musicians na rin ang bumibili kahit hinid mamahalin. Kung kaya naman natin abonohan ay ok yun, pero kung hindi naman ay isama sa budget kahit pa-isa isang drumhead lang. Just saying po. Salamat!

Whatever talents you have, lahat ito ay sa Panginoon, dahil I'm sure lahat ng mga tumutugtog sa mga Churches tinawag yan ni God, so for me it's not all about the talent nor how great a musician you are as long as nakakapaguri ka k Lord lahat yan inaayos ni Lord sa tenga mo if think the instruments sounds are not good, the Holy Spirit gives us the right heart and ear para marinig natin angga instruments ng maganda sa tenga, all praise belongs to God ❤️🙏 God bless us.

Maraming salamat po! Ganyan din po lage nasa isip namin na as a musician na kahit hindi high end dapat pinag aaralan yung gamit kasi great things start from small beginnings. May mga players na kahit na gano ka "cheap" yung gamit, napakagandang magpatunog. On the other hand, meron din nman magaganda gamit pero.... Pra sa akin obligasyon natin patunogin ng maganda ang mga instrumento natin mapa mahal o mura. Kasama na don yung pag fully utilize sa kung ano mang gamit meron tayo at syempre skills din. Kung nasa presyo ang basehan kapatid, lahat ng magaganda gamit dapat "ideal" ang tunog, pero we all know that's not the case. Magpasalamat nalang tayo may resources from mp dagdag kaalaman din ito tska "ideal" naman sinabi ni pastor.

Articulation po not frequency pstr. Hehe. For me, bass po groove and kapal bigay niyan and bestfriend niya drummer. The important thing is yung fill, yung sarap for me when playing instruments lalo na kung para kay Lord. Magandang gamit add ons nalang pero nasa gumagamit rin talaga. Kasama na doon yung paano alagaan yung gamit it doesn't matter kung cheap or mamahalin.

True, haha. For us na kahit may ample knowledge about sa pagtimpla ng sound dynamics (theory) pero wala namang maa-applyan na equipment, e talagang pinagtya-tiyagaan na lang namin kung ano lang ang meron sa church. Hindi sapat ang budget at small church lang din kami. Kaya kanya kanyang diskarte na lang kami sa mga DIY na accessories sa instruments namin 😆

Malaki ang naitutulong ng mga kapatid natin sa malayang pilipino ,lalo na ang mga idea ,o kaalaman na mahalaga sa music ministry and audio,! Tama po yun na kahit de high end ang gamit ,,mapa paayus parin sa pamamagitan ng magandang kaaalaman naibibigay nila ! Karagdagang ko lang po bilang incouragement rin at bilang isang muscisian rin ,,,narealize ko lang na dahil tayo nasa last days na ,malapit ng lumitaw ang anti christ at maganap ang rapture at itoy ayun din mismo sa sinsabe ng bibliya at kayang mga present prophet ngayun,,,ay higit na mabigyan pansin natin ay maayus na pamumuhay ,,malinis na pamumuhay ,,mapanalangining buhay kristyano at walang wordlyness ,sa pamumuhay man maging sa musico,,,,! Ito ang higit na napakahalaga sa mga panahon na ito !

Thank you for your comment po pero hindi po namin sinasabi na gayahin nyo po ang set up namin. Nakalagay po dyan ang term na "ideal sound" hindi po namin sinasabi na gayahin. You can still sound good on low-cost drum set, but it really depends on the drumhead. 2-ply head would do👍

@@ebenezerfetalvero3682 1 year is not enough. Give it time. As long as he/she is willing to improve and nagpapraktis with effort, lalabas at lalabas ang resulta nun. You can’t expect na makasabay ang 1 year player sa mga taong ilang years na tumutugtog. Pray for him/her.

True worship doesn't come with a perfect worship/music setting. Di naman talaga kailangang maging perfectionist as a church musician and if, diyan na nawawala ang main focus na just to worship masyado nang nagiging sensetive sa paligid kung maayos ba yung performance eh magkaiba naman ang worship sa performance. Just saying lang, mostly kasi ngayon sa modern churches masyado nang perfectionist, nakaprogram na. Just saying po, Godbless

Thank you po for your insight but we refuse to believe that the people in the OT temple were not commanded to use on the best for temple worship. Actually, They used a rare wood called almug which is an excellent wood for timbrels and harp. They also used the finest brass used as cymbals and tambourines. Only the best instruments are used in the temple during those days. Yes it is never about the instruments and sounds but having better equipment will yield better sounds and our God deserves nothing less. 1 Kings 10:12 And the king made of the almug trees pillars for the house of the LORD, and for the king's house, harps also and psalteries for singers: there came no such almug trees, nor were seen to this day.
