well this is all true too, as all academic rework is synthetic in a way. overall, most of these issues come down to the paradigms and openness of thought. if our prevailing ideologies are harsh, there's no way to implement progressive systems of justice. if the society is biased, bigoted, and contaminated/ignorant, then it will be akin to a Sisyphean task.
