WOW!!! Very informative. I learned so much. I love playing with my RC's, crawlers and bashing. But to learn about suspension and geometry set up and how important it can be!!! priceless. Thank you for putting up this video. the same thought process and ideals would work well with like the Axial Bomber, right? and like you said if probably work too with an IFS...Time to tinker with some of my bashers in the garage. Keep up the good work man!!!! Love the video.

I liked and subscribed and thank you for the knowledge. I took the two original arms and connected them to the arms that you connected your rods that you made And that also corrected the pitch problem.

So the rear upper links you built, does it have to have that bend in it? What is the purpose for the bent link instead of just going straight to the mounting point on the diff?

James Tomlinson would this be something you could show in a video? Or if you have perfected this would you make them for sale? I’m building mine to 6s and will race it with UDRs so I want to get it dialed for the track

Can I buy a set of the rear links? Or could you tell the the eye length?
@ioandragulescu60632 жыл бұрын
I learned smth interesting, don't know how relevant it is. On full turn, at least as it comes out of the box, on the wheel that's on the inside of the turn, the axle catches in the knuckle arm if the suspension is extended all the way, making said inner wheel almost stoping. Happens on both front wheels. It became even more obvious for me once I installed some ALU upgrades for the knuckles. Also, there are visible markings on the knuckles where they made contact with the axles. For now, I will just limit a bit the steering end points to avoid this.

Any issues with driveshaft vibrations causing premature wear on the driveshaft? (If you don’t have a double cardon driveshaft this geometry causes oscillations in the speed of the driveshaft)

You said that you only get driveshaft changes at the transmission end. The problem with that is that you'll get the diff not changing it's angle inline with the trans and one end of the drive shaft with have severe velocity fluctuations in the rear of the drive shaft causing excessive wear and heat. It will snap. Basic automotive engineering is keeping the differential pinion angle in line with the transmission output shaft angle unless you have constant velocity joints in the drive shaft rather than universal joints. Know what you"re taliking about before you put it to video.
