That was the most stupid statement that could have come from the mouth of a person holding a doctoral degree. Whereas India has been there since ages, 1950 saw the conscious enactment of a ethos that was progressive, inclusive, shared and modernistic in the form of a charter through which India would be governed, coordinated, propagated, programmed, propelled and levitated into domains sanctimonious. It was certainly the dawn of a new age and era when India was reborn. It had struggled and strived ceaselessly to come out clean from the clutches of bondage, ignominy and shame to put itself again on the path of evolution, freedom, liberty, independence, emancipation and reinvention. Then how can anyone belittle this unprecedented feat and achievement of a nation to say so unceremoniously that India was not born in 1950..

Purushasuktam is a poem and the metaphor making the body of the Purusha is poetic creation. It is not genesis. The Purusha is described as occupying within space including the earth (Prithvi) and still remains without by Dashangulam. This is clearly suggesting the the description not in realistic sense but in poetic sense and meant to ponder about that whose complete description is impossible.

Paraphrasing a poetic metaphor and drawings inferences as from anatomical structure is rediculous. The Purusha Suktam was composed in the times when Nasadeeya Suktam was composed. It's translation is found at the start of episodes of Bharat Ek Khoj. The author wonders about how the universe is created and whether anyone knows it or even can know it. The Purusha Suktam starts with the description of the Purush as one with thousand heads, thousand eyes and thousand legs. In another Richa, much later in the Suktam another metaphor where the Brahmins, Kshatriyas and Shudras are imagined as from his head, torso and legs. Clearly the two metaphors have different images. The abilities to think critically, to fight with courage and to develop manual skills are different and they all are needed to have a complete body of society ( Purush). A good mathematician and a good pilot need different abilities. For political debates using the Purusha Suktam as stating some sociological facts is laughable according to my understanding.

What sort of a doctorate has Vikram Sampath done? It appears that he has done a successful doctorate in hate, in nepotism, in bigotry, in chauvinism, in pseudo-nationalism, in parochialism and above all a doctorate in the art of misinterpretation, demeaning, distorting and falsifying the stated principles of Islam. Its so disgusting and harrowing an experience to even listen to him just because he has a doctor appended before his name..

@@poorvasharma8807 You are one heck of an imperfect species pretending to be living in a perfect world. You probably don't know how even mirrors can reflect a faulty and distorted image. Yes, the light gets imperfectly reflected when the mirror is faulty as a result of which the light that falls upon it gets absorbed rather than getting totally reflected and hence the image that would be reflected by such a mirror would also be faulty and delusionary. The mirror that you are talking about that is Vikram Sampath has the fault of an ignoble conscience in him as a result of which he tends to conceal more of what he gets and gives back less. Hence he is producing a distorted and bad image. You love and admire this imperfection because you yourself and many more like you are cloned bigots who cheer up and admire the falsehood that is being reflected, projected, promoted and sponsored.
