Thank you again for your videos. They are great! I would like to suggest a video idea if I may. A mini project of your choosing from start to finish. Plc programming, wiring, troubleshooting, connecting equipment etc. If this is something you have the time to record, I think it will be a great learning oportunity for the rest of us. Thanks again! You're the man!

Do you have any videos on Pulse outputs or Pulse Width? I have a project using a stepper motor and a Stepper Motor Driver.
@willpope302 Жыл бұрын
It took me nearly 3 weeks to figure out how to drive a stepper using the MOV and the CNT counter. While I finally figured out how to drive the stepper using these blocks, I’ve hit somewhat of a road block since I cannot speed it up any faster than the 10-ms pulse outputs will allow. Did you by chance ever figure it out using anything else?

Hi ControlFreak. Thanks for your videos. I'm new to PLC's and I've been using an IDEC FT1A with the Wind LDR V8 software. So far I've managed to make some great programs which we now use in our own controllers, however I'm having trouble creating a program for a dual wastewater pump program that will alternate the pumps each time the first input closes. I'm also trying to make it switch to the other pump if the called pump is in fault/overloaded etc. A lesson on this would be awesome. Keep up the good work.

That sounds like an awesome lesson! I will get it done for you. Might be this weekend, but I will get it done for you. But, i will try to get it up sooner. I have been pretty busy at work lately. Glad you are getting into programming. You wont be left behind. Automation is the tech that is going to take over. That is why I try to get electrician interested in learning it. It really is not rocket science, like some think.

If the video quality looks bad, click on settings icon bottom right, change it to 1080P. Should be nice and clear then.

Thanks for making this video! Why use a counter with a pulse instead of a timer instruction?
@huntxtrm4 жыл бұрын
You could use separate trimers for each function. For a simple sequence this has always worked well for me. And, it is really easy to program. And, it just give a person an idea of how to use a count function. Lots of ways to skin a cat, as they say. I think this was one of my first KZbin videos. At the time there weren't many Idec videos around. So, I figured I would throw some ideas out there for people to play around with. Thanks for watching!

I have an FT1A plc and I am having problem download ing the WindLDR program to the PLC. As well as how to Upload the program from the PLC. Thanks.

@@manuelvaldivia9924 Are you using NV3? You have to use NV3 for the FT1A Touch. Make sure you have communication settings correct, for how you are connecting. Initially use USB, and be sure and update the firmware the first time you connect to it. If you would like a video, let me know. I do have an older FT1A, i could connect to. For Demo purposes.

I am using OBS for the screen capture, and a lapel mike. I need to play around with the setup a little more. If anybody has any suggestions, it would be appreciated.

@@huntxtrm 2 years late, but OBS is fantastic for recording. You can get plenty of good sounding mics for cheap from best buy or microcenter.
