Their 12/10.8 volt batteries are also interchangeable. We use the Bosch adjustable head drivers at work and the Dremel batteries work in them just fine.

The Dremel 20v batteries are also the same as Bosch 18v batteries ("20v" and "18v" are the same true voltage if anyone isn't aware). Bosch and Dremel should market this fact better because a lot of people seemingly don't know, especially with Bosch's newer Ampshare program you'd think they would be promoting it.

My brother works at Bosch for forty years, the 'guts' of the machine may have plastic instead of metal parts to reduce cost. He assures me they do that, like putting cheaper chucks on some drills instead of self centering chucks like most have. Just info for your readers. I'd buy the Dremel if I was gonna get one of htese...

Dude one thing I learned in my short time in life is always ALWAYS spend the extra money even when it’s “just the name” when buying tools or crap like that. It’s always worth it. You always get superior accessories and customer support. Literally no point in saving $20

I don t know. I ve had a similar experience with a Hitachi tool. I needed to buy a bunch of them for a project, and i stumbled across an identical tool, Just a different brand. They were exactely the same, down to the smallest details. So i bought One of each. And i opened them. Not the same anymore. The difference Is in the gearbox. The cheap One had a plastic set of weels. The other had an all metal set. Is It this the case, here? Again, i don t know. Bosch bought dremel. So they May very well be the same product, pushed by two differently thinkink marketing depts... I m kind of curious now
