Generally, we see multiple resistors in a circuit. These can be classified broadly in 2 categories, resistor in series and resistors in parallel. Let's learn how.

I have question that we know that resistor reduce current so how the amount of current passes through one resistor will remain in other in series set up. This is what I got from Google If you now add a resistor in series into this circuit - the current of the circuit will be smaller. So yes, the resistor does reduce the current. (But the current flowing into the resistor is still the same as the current flowing out.)

Ohm's law states that potential difference is directly proportional to the current then why the potential difference is different and current is same across the resistors in series combination? ? Can someone please help
@azlangaming5871
@azlangaming5871 4 жыл бұрын
Potential difference is directly proportional to current. The constant term is Resistivity. When resistors are placed in series the Resistivity of the resistors sums up and act as one. Increase in resistivity will lead to increase in potential difference because- V=IR If r increased V will also increase.

@arshsingh5606
@arshsingh5606 4 жыл бұрын
Current is conservative So it can neither be created nor be destroyed. That is why it remains same while passing through the resisitors.
