Magnetic field lines outside of a permanent magnet always run from the north magnetic pole to the south magnetic pole. Therefore, the magnetic field lines of the earth run from the southern geographic hemisphere towards the northern geographic hemisphere.

My question is what if we take South pole of the little magnet as the reference to observe the effect of magnetic field of the bigger magnet? Wouldn't the direction of magnetic field lines change to South to North?
@AdityaSingh-bj1uq
@AdityaSingh-bj1uq Жыл бұрын
No it will not change because if you break a magnet and take a South pole of it then that South pole will be divided into north and south again therefore it will be always from north to south (outside the magnet )
