The conversation of Ghanaian artists losing their sounds to other cultures like Nigerians Afrobeats and Daggae Dancehall is becoming overwhelming. Just a few days ago we saw a video circulating on the socials of the Jamaican artist, Luciano talking about how Ghanaian raggae-dancehall artists sound like Jamaicans. Do you think we have lost it all? Share your opinion in the comments section below #ghanaentertainment #nigeriaentertainment #trending #casestudy ‪@AmeyawTV‬ ‪@ZionfelixTV‬

Stone Boy, Shatta Wale r singing Reggae n Sark is rapping and U guys don’t complain but wen Ghanaian artists sounded Nigerian is a problem. Ogbeni Afrobeats is Nigeria so u must sound Nigerian to do Afrobeats just as Stone Boy n Shatter r doing Reggae. Can Sarkodie sing in Highlife n claim it’s Hiphop?

@@jerryotomewo6284 thanks for sharing your opinion sir. The issue isn’t with the genre but the delivery. Kidi does afrobeats but don’t sound Nigerian. I gave a few instances!

@@Yaolil2022 😂 dude, Kidi sounds Nigerian singing Afrobeats. Have u heard Kidi’s new song with Olivia ? Oh I see, u r refereeing to “Touch It” right ? Dats Reggae bro, incase u r confused. I see U have issues with Nigeria right. It really sad u can use ur platform to query ur Ghanaian artists for sounding like ur fellow Africans but U r sounding like Americans. It really sad bro u need to work on ur sef, for real

@@jerryotomewo6284 bro don’t make this as though it’s a battle between the supremacy of Nigerians over Ghanaian genre of music. My problem is with my people and not Nigerians. I don’t think you’re getting me sir. But I respect your opinion too though. I believe we all are work in progress, I kind of sound American cuz but I do not skew my Ghanaian languages when I’m speaking them. English however is a universal language so it can be identified easily with how you deliver it. There’s clear distinction between foreign English and African English. But you’re clear on your points too, nuff respect. 🫡

I think you are missing the point. This conversation isn’t about any competition between Ghana and Nigeria, it’s simply about the authenticity of the sounds of Ghanaian artists compared to Nigerian artists. Nigerian artists have gone further because of how original they are with their culture and sound. You should simply get this sir. 🤝
