His 6% speed buff is by far his most op stat. Sure it isn’t much, but neither is 20 seconds. Yet in that 20 seconds tide turner is activated, it feels so long. In terms of IDV, that 6% is a lot.

Tips:When playing in eversleeping town you can stun the hunter with the train.First you need to check the train if near then use painting because if hunter see it then the hunter get stun then get hit by the train.

A note: you can easily counter painter by just... looking away. As long as the charm hasn’t effected you yet it can’t until it’s on your screen. You can walk right next to one and be fine if you’re looking away from it. Additionally, if you can easily pickup on a painters strategies, you can tell when they’ll place a painting and when to look away.

Ive tried doing that as hunter and youll almost always accidentally still look at it because you have no idea where youre going. The dream witch game you saw she was doing the exact same thing but the problem is she cant see me either if I stay by the painting. Literally if you stay by the painting as painter, the hunter cant do anything because then they also cant see you so theres no way they can try to swing at you without looking at you, which also means looking at the painting.

Sikey true, it’s hard but it can sometimes let you get away without a stun. But more often than not it won’t.

That’s what i was thinking about if he is broken instead of nerf him they should make a decode debuff and begin a rescue character since every rescuer is hard to catch so they should make him a rescuer character and that’s it ! Bcs he is a great rescuer !!!! ✨✨✨👀

Originally he was supposed to have big debuffs when coop decoding or interacting with teammates. Since hes supposed to be kind of self centred and rude. Obvs if they add that to decrease rescue speed that would be annoying as many now use him as second rescuer but I definitely could see him getting a coop decoding debuff similar to embalmer

@@SikeyYT honestly it can work even if you haven't seen the hunter's face. usually I will do the first rescue or at least stop decoding and go near the chair area, so I can have the hunter's face. I always bring tide so if I rescue first we can lose time and I start painting immediately after rescuing. If there's a rescuer and they save, I'll still start painting and go back to decode, so I have a painting ready if our rescuer gets hit and then I'll go and do the second rescue. so yeah, it works either way lol but ofc you need to know how to rescue without getting hit before

Good review, i honestly think he takes less skill than priestess and that’s a big lol. He can kite, decode, save even if you are damaged just like merc or even better and can also support others during kites if you need to buy time. The painting itself should’ve been enough for him, but they also added that annoying speed buff and the rocket chair buff(which is a big fu for camping characters that depend on terrorshocks to win) with really no downside except you can see him through walls, no decoding, no healing, no vaulting debuff. And yet people believe they are god kiters when they play him when in fact it’s just as easy as playing priestess. I think they should either get rid of the speed, the rocket chair part or at least make him stare at the hunter the same amount a seer would or make him have to look at the hunter for each painting, not just the first one.

The thing is terror shocks still ruin games but thats not something that has to do with painter really. I agree everything you say. I like your idea of nerfing him would be to look at the hunters image again after using a painting so you cant draw another one for next time. I really like that actually

I've been using painter and it's exactly what you said, this guy is soooo good to use, he can multitask and do everything. Before I wasn't sure because when I played as hunter I always took him down immediately, but when I got to use him I realized those players really didn't know how to handle him. Yesterday they finally nerfed him (has 2 paintings now) but I still mamaged really well and won some matches lol

I want to share my thought about how to balanced Painter 1.Keep the same number of painting,but he need more time to finish one.When he's painting,he will get -5% speed debuff and cannot vault,put pallet down ect... 2.Also give him a -15% debuff when decoding,and -10% addon when decode together.But after finish one painting,he will have +5% decoding buff,stack at 3.Whick make his cipher rush worse,but not that bad. 3.make the speed buff stack per painting +3%/+4%/+5% instead of +2%/+4%/+6%.That will make him easier to deal with when he's at god loop,god that +6% just make him at hospital 4 time with one window,sure fun=))) Overall i think he is a new wing to the survivors's meta.I really like the chair buff bcs he make sure hunter don't get too campy and go to do something esle,and a live-saver in the meta where rescuer are reduce so much because of the stress he/she have to carry when rescuing teamate over half.But him other trail are so good too,making him become one of the most hated survivors when play at hunter Sorry if my english is really bad,i'm not a native speaker;-;)

I like these ideas. I think another good thing would be to somehow have the game tell the hunter which direction the painting is in if theyre close to it but not yet looking at it so they dont accidentally look at it while trying to look away.

So basically Painter is like a Perfumer 2.0 but more annoying. I prefer playing Seer because it's more fun and more intense than playing painter(but I would try to play Painter again after his nerf) I main hunter but also main survivor like Seer and Prisoner

seer is more annoying than painter wym, one little excitement trait and you can easily kill him as for seer he just has multiple lifes

The fact you have to get SO CLOSE and be facing the hunter and you have to be there for a long time meanwhile trying not to get hit this is perfect opportunity for hunters cause hes so bad early game and it takes a hot minute for the paintings too hh its nerve wracking both are really good survivors though

@@lilymaywitson6018 just look at the hunter face while kiting is easy as a Seer main also you could drop pallet and see the hunter face while they doing the Pallet breaking animation for a while. Also Painter only needs few seconds to remember the hunter face so it's not really that long, owl Recharge is a bit longer(or I just more focus on kiting than recharge my owl lol)

Painter is insane. Would it be crazy if I also said hes kind of boring? Because dropping a painting requires absolutely no intuition about what the hunter will do to counter your ability since they literally cant. Looking back is the best but its not a good fix either

Of course! He is one of the best survivors in this meta right now, possibly even better than seer. Seer has the advantage of helping at a distance but painter just WRECKS hunters so bad if hes nearby. Its nothing compared to owl. After the nerf, well im not sure because nerfs are subject to change

Thats an advanced tip that you will learn later on. As you play the game, you will realize the best time to save is a little before the red line so that the next time the person goes on chair, the timer wont skip as much time to 50%. For painter you still want to rescue around 50% but this means youre in no rush to save before 50% since aslong as its painters first time on chair he will still live the second time. Sometimes the best times to rescue is immediatly (if hunter teleports away, starts going far from chair, etc.) then you want to rescue early. Problem is if that hunter ever catches that same person again, it skips from whatever small percent you rescued from and jumps straight to 50%, which couldve been time spent decoding. Painter makes it so that this does not happen and that the person whos rescuing second can wait longer since he doesnt jump straight to 50% (but he'll still die the 3rd time hes on chair no matter the percent you rescued him)

There really isnt a good fix. If you live in europe there is nothing you can do because the server is located in the US which means your router is trying to connect with something over the Atlantic Ocean. No matter how amazing your wifi is, the ping will always be yellow to red. Some people say reducing graphics works but the only thing in which doing that is a guaranteed fix for is for low frame rate or if your game keeps freezing. Ive had people tell me turning on high FPS helps, but I cant say for sure if it works or if it doesnt

A lot of it is the same, just be more conservative with the paintings. Though one MAJOR major part of the nerf isnt so much the 1 less painting but rather that you CANT instant painting anymore. See in the video how as soon as you begin to place it, the stun effect kicks in? Now you have to place it a bit more preemptively or you get hit anyway. It took me a while to get used to tbh.
