That actually happened to me during a rank match. We were running away from the hunter and we were INSIDE the exit when the prospector threw down a magnet and pushed me back towards the hunter and I was killed.. he threw away a tie and we lost the match...

But KDW! I have more tips! Hopefully it can help you! 1st: When encountering a Smiley. Beware of his dashes. You might want to use attraction on him instead of repulse, why? Lemme explain. He has 3 phases of dash 1: At the beginning of the game, if he equip a rocket. He will get the dash ability. But it is slow. At this dash phase, you can use Repulse to knock him back but there's a chance that he will hit you. 2nd: After someone got hit twice by Smiley. He will get the dash ability. This time is faster a little than the first phase (I think so :P). Chances of you getting hit is higher. You want to use Attraction on Smiley instead of Repulse if you don't wanna get hit. First, throw the magnet onto Smiley and switch pole. Attraction's link is wider than Repulse's link, so it has more time to activate (nor pull) to avoid getting hit by the dash (It cancels the dash). But if you have two magnet. Then do the first step then use the second magnet to push Smiley away. The same trick goes to the 3rd phase of Smiley dash. Edited: my fingers are dying I needed rest so now I'm back with 2nd tip 2nd: You wanna give a magnet to the hunter and run to a pallet. Then go out Infront of the pallet where the hunter can see you, move back a little. Then it's your chance to Attract the hunter to the pallet. If they're stunned, *good*, wait a little then slam that pallet into the 0 IQ Hunter.

When saving Teammates from balloons (With Pulling) , you don’t need the Hunter to hit a wall. Just simply pulling the Hunter towards you while having a Survivor on the Balloon will stun the hunter once there done pulling. If you ever watched Gaming Grizzly and saw him just placing magnets down while decoding, don’t do that. I find it as a waste of Magnets. What I usually do is if I have full Magnets is place in a spot where the Hunter is most likely to come. Also when ever I have the chance (no matter what), I will pull the Hunter towards an object just to stun and annoy them. I find him sort of like Forward, but I don’t spend too much time protecting my teammates. Oh yeah, and what I find very useful is stunning the Hunter while my teammates are mid-kite. It helps your teammates survive and kite longer. LAST THING: He is very good at tight kiting/looping. If the hunter manages to get close to you, you can just push em away. But they probably wont get close because you would be pulling them towards the wall while looping. I like to pull/push the hunter into a pallet then stun them. It is very useful. Oh and one more thing, *don’t rely on your magnets all the time when Kiting.* EDIT: Clown counters Prospector, Prospector counters Clown. EDIT 2: You can push/ pull Hunters off stairs on knock them down.

My name Prospector also counters the lizard. If you have a magnet on him already and he’s about to jump and hit you, you can push or pull while he is near you. It completely stops the jump and you won’t get hit. I’ve tried it before and it works

Ripper's fogblade can avoid sometimes .but white Wu Chang and clown are hard to kite with him and magnet doesn't apply effects cause of their abilities

Cathy Valladares I know right at least the prospector isn’t super strong to lift hunters with his bear hands he’s just using his magnets 🧲 what real super strength is the hunters best high lift would be 1 wu Chang but mostly I like rose cane and mad eyes.

What I love about Prospector is that he’s probably the best kiting character. If you have the correct build (left and right wing) he can be over overpowered. For example, if he’s kiting a hunter, he can easily get three speed boosts by going near a cipher or locker, then vaulting a window or a pallet. Overall, he can be really annoying to deal with. I had a three Prospector team with one coordinator once. Ripper didn’t bother to chase us, he was focused on coord. But we all escaped, ;D

What I do whenever I'm decoding is I throw the magnet close but not too close to the cipher. I also make sure that no one is decoding with me as that'll hit them and I don't want that. After I wait until hunter finds me but I still decode and I don't run until I know the hunter has the magnet on. Depending on where I am I either change to make it attract or repel, and I do this for rescuing as well. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

One time I was playing Prospector and my friend got a Positive Polarity attached to her, I got hit and while the hunter was carrying me a Negative polarity magnet got attached to him, my friend stood behind a wall and balloon saved me

First tip is a little useful cuz: U have magnet dropping animation while it is u can't vault pallet or window, and u have a chance got terror ( when it ends hunter can get close to you :P) cuz I sayed that u can't vault objects while u in dropping animation, and when u pulling hunter u pull too, and if u have knee jack reflex (speed boost after pallet vault) u just waist ur speed boost time :P 2:21 u can't, u just reset hunters after hit cooldown what makes u easy to knock down :P

I know a lot of people use him to magnet save but it's not really useful anymore since he got nerfed by his repulse power. His decoding is really fast so for those who want to be a support : decode a cipher and then go to the hunter to help a teammate for the kite (It's preferable to do that with non-kiting character) Most of the time i do that (I'll most likely help after 3 ciphers are done)

So someone said somthing about using there magnet for nothing the problem that most prospecter will do is panic and throw the magnet to early somthing I found use full is looking at the red light while getting chased and looking at the map why cause then u know when to throw your magnet to push them away from u or if your trying to push them into object or evan pull...

i main prospect and one day i was being pursued by the hunter, in the pirate ship of lake village, i dropped by accident one of my magnets in the second floor,near the stairs, and then i run from the stairs to the first floor, the hunter got my magnet and i was pulled from the floor to the ceiling and got stun xd. Nah magnet with the same polarity can use for rescuing too..it just doesn’t work if you push the hunter in an open area..here’s a tip for rescuing survivors using the same polarity...if you try to rescue the tied survivor, make sure the hunter is standing close near to a wall or an object (at any direction) so that the hunter will get stunned and then VOILAAA! The survivor is rescued!😂😄👌

@@whatthefudge5233 throw your magnet to the hunter first, make sure the magnet already attached to the hunter, so you can trigger the repulsion. Then, change your pole. If the magnet attached to hunter has blue pole, and your pole is the red one. It will trigger the "pull" repulsion

Basically his magnets work on a physical theory related to electricity, different type of electricity will create a pull effect and same type of electricity will create push effect. You can try it with 2 similar magnets and you will see they are pushing themselves from the other one (bad english e.e)

It's not attract and repel, it's a North and South pole, so you have to switch the pole to the other one to attract.
