I had a cheap transistor AM radio when I was around 8 or 9 in the late 60's and early 70's. I remember rocking out when this song was playing on the AM radio over and over, it's a smash!!

I discovered the Ides when I was 12 years old, living in Michigan, and stumbled upon WLS. The signal wasn't always that strong, but migosh, I fell in love with this band, and I love them still. Incredible talent. Rock on, Ides!

It would probably be "2000 year-old Man" for me. Jim Peterik's ode to the Mel Brooks & Carl Reiner skit of the same name. There is a lyric video of the song on his KZbin page. While it was a solo song, various Ides of March members reportedly helped make the song. I think Larry Millas sang the low vocals on the song.

Wow! Çà fait plaisir de réécouter ce vieux succès jazz-rock de 1970, qui a été repris comme indicatif d'une émission de la TV française, sauf erreur, il y a pas mal d'années déjà. J'aime beaucoup ce style de musique, mélangeant le rock au jazz, comme savaient si bien le faire des formations comme Chicago et Blood Sweat and Tears. Mais il y en a d'autres aussi, comme Ides of March, avec cet excellent titre notamment.

For those who are not familiar with Mr Peterik you know his music he was the force behind Survivor he wrote or co-wrote most of there songs he had success with the first incarnation of the band with Eye of The Tiger but when he had the good fortune to find singer Jimi Jamison the rest is history give him a break he is in his 70's and still having a blast

Jim Peterik is his name. Not exactly a household name but yeah he wrote or cowrote some big hits. Not sure what Floyd Pattersons problem was. So Mr Peteril likes to act like the kids today and color his hair all weird, who cares, lol. I saw the band live and recorded this video and they were great!!!

The late Burt Bacharach was co-writing great songs in his 90s. Listen to the song "Always" that he co-wrote with Richard Marx. Jim Peterik has stated that he wants to keep on writing/co-writing songs as long as possible.
