Would be nice to know what’s being cleared from RAM vs Storage. For those who don’t know, in computing, typically RAM is associated with performance, not “storage”. RAM is a type of ephemeral short-term storage, while the term “storage” typically refers to persistent long-term storage (like to an SSD or iCloud). The CPU uses RAM for doing work. Similar to how a line cook in a restaurant relies on the countertop and wall hooks for super quick-access to utensils, ingredients, recipes, etc.. instead of having to (inefficiently) run back to the freezer, cold storage or dry storage every time they need a utensil or ingredient.

iOS 16 butchered the performance of my iPhone 13. Battery performance was still at 90%. Everything from scrolling to opening apps was slow and laggy. @@aliciapark6241 There’s no any way to do that. You can clear out only a small part of it by clearing your safari browsing data. That’s it. Resetting the entire phone is the only option out there.

@@aliciapark6241 That’s not a fix. This way you are just clearing out the app data, once you start using the app again it again starts loading the system storage. System data fills up with such senseless temp. Files which they don’t give access to users to delete them manually, and their management of this data is so poor that it doesn’t delete it Automatically too for a long period of time.

Thank you for this video. I didn’t know about the app store. I know I had the significant locations turned off, but it was turned back on when I updated to the latest iOS. Maybe this only happen to me but you might want to ask your followers if this happen to anyone else.

caches are useful as long as they take only a few megabytes , I would not delete them very often cos each time you'll revisit a website , the ache will build up again and the page will take longer to load... if you have an older iPhone yes it is useful to do once, but for people who are on the latest 14' series , I don't think it's useful , significant locations are always updated and this allow for optimized battery charging to work , if you delete these locations, you'll loose the ability to optimize battery charging FYI.

If you’re using Tidal you need to check how much storage it’s using. On some devices it seems to cache any song you play. Need to delete those cached items or you can delete the Tidal app then load it back onto your device. Once loaded all the cached stuff will be cleared. Deleting the app from your device does NOT effect your Tidal account or playlists. Everything will be there when you load the app back from the App Store.

Must of your tips like significant location and AppStore recommendations in this video, are literally trashing the iPhone experience, since those features are to get personalized recommendations and/or custom content as well as predictive information.
