If you sell your house you believe is old & useless to someone at 10 times the price and he modifies that house into a huge profit earning Resort worth 100 times the price you sold to him, you cannot claim it back. Jews came to Israel area from 1880's and the Muslim landlords sold desert land which they believed to be useless at 10 times the price. Regular forces would've knocked off about 100- 300 adversaries in say 30 conventional tasks with team work. You don't claim " top commander" status ever as you realise that bravado and ego fail in conflict. We are no longer in the sword fighting era. Everyone including the " commander" is a combatant who is a target. Commanders are realistically turned over in time in hierarchy as casualities accrue.
