Many, many years ago my lungs felt and sounded like popcorn popping and people within a couple of feet of me could hear it. Our family doctor said it was pleurisy. He didn't x-ray, do any blood work or prescribed any medicine. He said that I needed to stay home from school and do bed rest. I was 17yrs old. Within a week or so the sound and feeling stopped as suddenly as it began. I'd like to know what it really was because now that I'm in my 60's, I'm fairly certain it wasn't pleurisy!

Thank you. That was awesome and inspiring. About to start my pulm elective. Helped to place interstitial lung disease in perspective. Would appreciate more lectures on this topic looking at the various subtypes.
