Idiopathic Toe Walking: The Surgical Process

Idiopathic Toe Walking (ITW) is when a child continues to walk on their tippy-toes past 3 years of age.
ITW is estimated to occur in 7% to 24% of children.
Ever since Evelina first learned to walk, she has walked on her tippy-toes. Evelina's parents had taken her to see several doctors over the years, including a pediatrician and orthopedic surgeon, but they were not able to find a solution for her toe walking.
