This is a common occurrence with any newer generation, challenging the older generation's conception of certain ideas, especially when those ideas are so old they become tradition, so the older generation barely remembers why these values are good and therefore can't really defend them well to the new generation. This seems to be happening at a much faster rate than any other time in human history thanks to the internet and lack of true communities. Now you have pseudo-communities, like the LGBT "community" which essentially is nothing more than an echo chamber.

They were investigated for allowing minors to access the site to view said content back in May 2024 (there’s nothing in place for protection as anyone can lie). Numerous creators have also been investigated by the IRS for fraud over the last several years. They were also investigated for hosting CSA material this past July 2024 featuring _toddlers_ and _teens_ doing videos … let that sink in… One incident involved a *16 year old* female that had an OF. She went missing in FL - was abducted by an older man that would give her money for certain photos. They found her half-clothed in an apartment with him against her will. From an article: “… of the documented 30 complaints in U.S. police and court records that CSA material appeared on the site between December 2019 and June 2024. The case files examined by the news organization cited more than 200 explicit videos and images of (children), including some adults having oral with (under the age of 5). In one case, multiple videos of a minor remained on OnlyFans for more than a year, according to a child exploitation investigator who found them while assisting Reuters in its reporting and alerted authorities in June.” OF was notified of them and did nothing to the accounts … only when authorities got involved did they suddenly care and take action. They claim to have a strict vetting process, but they don’t. Anyone can lie about their age and create a fake ID, hence why so many teens are freely on it. They do not care because it makes them money. They will gladly host PDFiles on their platform for profit…and that is exactly what people are defending when they speak positively about OF in any manner. There is no other way to cut it, because when a company _knows_ about the content they’ve hosted, allows it to remain up after reports, and then tries to act as if they’re totally on top of it all and have strict rules … yeah, they don’t care.

I think it's a little weak to criticize somebody who tries to say they're not insecure about their adult work, But then try to call them out for it. It's like, so what if they have insecurities and tried to hide it publicly. That's not a novel thing. There are a lot of people with jobs or public facing stuff that are insecure about a lot of things about their body or the way they sound, or the quality of their content. But I agree It's not good to sugarcoat the adult industry or encourage people to jump in without consideration. I don't think everybody that start as young adults are necessarily going to suffer regret but definitely people that are pressured by anyone who has them sign contracts or people that keep pushing this idea that it's easy and profitable always is insanely toxic. Definitely will lead to people that, young or otherwise, might go into it and come out with regret. It's really something somebody should consider for themselves and be realistic about. There shouldn't be as much social stigma but there's a lot of it. I've been friends with and met people that I've essentially seen naked, But for me it doesn't affect how I see them as people or respect them. Some people have trouble with this separation, or have internal contradictions or bad stuff passed on to them from societal expectations and will just be awful towards any sex worker, especially if they've seen their work. Especially men that feel entitled to women's bodies. That's a really shitty reality, but it's also something women need to especially consider. I will defend sex workers and, I will totally criticize people that will harass and be awful toward them. Of course, however, criticism is totally valid from somebody running a business. These people who go on tinder to try to source customers... Ugh. I've never indulged in any of that, I know that I don't want somebody to just look at me like a wallet, But clearly it works and it's disappointing because it's clear that a lot of people are on dating apps for connections. I do think it's morally dubious to be advertising that kind of stuff. By all means if you're a model and you're also looking for a date, cool. Be transparent about what your work is, however, poaching lonely people off dating apps isn't a great look.

At the same time, It's possible to be lonely, looking for a partner, Also indulge in paying for adult content. It's a balance and unfortunately a lot of people fall into bad desperation, but It is possible to compartmentalize these things. Sex isn't connection necessarily. People that can rationalize that or naturally don't feel that the two are intertwined can probably more effectively indulge in paying for content without falling down the rabbit hole of addiction and overpayment. It's a tricky landmine considering there's combinations of models that are dishonest, Men that are misogynistic, people that are insecure because they indulge in the content without supporting it morally. When it comes to people that do adult content talking to fans, I do think there's a responsibility On both sides. You should be careful if you're vulnerable to para social relationships, and as an adult content creator, You obviously have to watch your boundaries but you shouldn't be manipulative and should draw a line where the fantasy in reality of the "connection" is. A lot of people don't follow these sorts of boundaries and people get exploited, or creators suffer harassment issues and all sorts of problems. I've definitely seen of models that clearly are adult creators, they don't have content or connections or advertised to minors, but, I'm absolutely sure there's a lot of ego-driven weirdos that just don't care about any sort of responsibility (obviously) It's also dumb to recommend OF To anyone considering only certain percentage of users make good money. There's also a lot of psychological considerations a person has to make before they decide to do adult content. There are people who enjoy certain personalities or having conversation beyond pure objectification, however, it's clearly always something to consider.
