The turbo thing is a huge project and a big learning curve. Luckily I have some cool stuff to fill while I figure it out.

It seems like every time I’ve worked on a BMW you had to know crazy tricks to get the job done easily. If you don’t know the trick, it was very difficult and hard to figure out! I had a vacuum canister in my Ford van that had the lines to it disintegrated. It was under the blower fan under the battery under the AC lines under the hood. So I found a KZbin video that said to pull the vacuum line through the firewall and install a new vacuum canister under the dash. So I did that and it probably saved about seven hours of work.

Yeah. The bmw vacuum for the hvac is… not fun. Especially because you can’t just buy the parts. I do refurb them. But they never work as well. I have gotten to the point where my goal is repairable and reliable. So I’ll replace parts as a can with other parts that will work regardless of them being bmw parts. :-) I can get ford and Chevy parts at autozone. :-)

Oh and the heater core is a nightmare man. That thing was NEVER meant to come out. Lol

Nice work! What kind of glue did you use? I once redid the headlining of my w124 with spray-on glue and it was horrible. Next time i‘ll use something that is stronger an can be applied with a brush. Anyway, lft your opinion on the glue-topic😄 Best wishes from germany

I believe I used super 77 its called. Ive seen it used on shows that show upholstery work so I figured if its good enough for them it would work for me. It seems to do well.
