Many years ago, I took my daughter to register for summer softball. I took her in my tow truck. A tow truck with a super heavy duty push bumper on the front. For no particular reason, I backed into the parking space. Later, we returned to our truck to find people had double parked everywhere. Well, how incredibly brain dead do you have to be to double park a tow truck??? He returned to find his vehicle LITERALLY sitting in the roadway.

For decades I have always carried in a pocket one of the metal tire valve caps that also has a Schrader valve remover on the end so I can remove the Schrader valves and let the air out of the tires of these sorts of folks. I always put them back so I can't be charged with theft, and since all I did was let some air move from one place to another, and I didn't damage anybody's property, I don't think I could be charged with anything. I've never been caught doing it, so I don't know for sure. But I'd gladly pay a $50 fine to teach some fool a lesson.

A friend of mines uncle ran a mixed farm in rural Kent (UK). He was born in 1908, worked from 1928 until1992 when he retired and alas died in 2007. I miss that man and his sense of humour, but he had his own way of dealing with odd cars that turned up on his farm, without his permission. In the 1960s, before cars were fitted with alarms and electronic locking he told of three ways he "Got rid of" unwanted cars. The first one was found one morni g, parked in front of the gate going into a field with sheep in, so with the help of a farm hand, he moved the gate, by swapping it with some of the fencing panels and put an old carpet over the car, then put and old falling down shed on it and surrounded it with old bales of rusted barbed wire, a broken plough and bits and pieces of old tack and lumber. It looked like it had been there for ever. He always laughed about hiding things in the open. Another time a car that was left inside a field he covered with tarpaulin, then smothered it with old tires and it looked like a silage clamp, (silage is cut grass that is fermented under cover so it remains sweet and is used as winter fodder for livestock). Another one that was 'abandoned' in his woods was bulldozed over a small cliff into an old worked out chalk quarry and covered up with about 10 tonnes of builders rubble and worked out soil, ( still rusting there for all i know). The local police came around and asked if he had seen any odd cars, but he feigned ignorance and scrapped both cars with a friendly scrap man and split the profit, about 10 years later. This was the man, who for a laugh, went with his brother and welded a neighbours gates shut at about 02:00 after he had complained that a couple of his cows had escaped and were eating his garden flowers and had shouted that "THOSE GATES MUST REMAIN CLOSED AT AL TIMES!" So he made sure they were. I still miss that old man with his stories and sense of humour, but it was all so long ago, its perfectly safe if you wish to use these.
