IDIOTS go RACING a Class 11... 😅🤷‍♀️

So, we have some news...
Spencer and I will be joining Idiot Racing as a Driver/CoDriver team for their attempt at the Baja 1000 this year in November. We are extremely excited for this opportunity and can't wait to get started. There has already been a lot of history made with this Class 11, what with it getting stolen in Mexico and the community coming together to get it back was just so beautiful. In this video we meet up with Idiot Racing for the Mojave Offroad (M.O.R.E) PCI 300 in Lucerne Valley. We stopped by Tim Sletten so he could help us check our cv angles as well as weld some rear shock mounts up so we could make it to the race. And...our race day didn't quite go as planned...we definitely had some hiccups, "rough patches" this weekend. We popped 3 tires. Like damn. And had electrical gremlins...which ultimately stopped Spence and I on the track in the end... 😭 But there were a TON of positives this weekend!
We met a ton of cool people and learned that this is something we want to pursue more in life. A big thank you to Perfect Motorsports for really helping us out huge in the pits to get the car back in working order so that Spence could have a shot driving the course and I a chance to ride in an actual race car! Totally lit us on fire about racing. I think Spence and I may just be thinking about building our own Class 11... 🤤🔥

Awesome to see you guys growing and trying new adventures. A few words of wisdom though, that car has no business racing the Baja 1000 in that condition. Get a few local races under your belt, get some finishes, refine the car, and gain more experience. Go to Baja with an experienced team and learn the ways before racing, it will make it so much more fun and memorable for when you do go racing. I've raced the Baja 1000 many times, its a beast! This year it will be running down the peninsula to La Paz, this is not for the unprepared or inexperienced. I'm not saying this to discourage you, only to educate and encourage you to do your homework and be prepared. Maybe I'll see you down there and if I do I'll be the first to help if you need it. I'll be running in Class 1 Best of luck to you guys, love your channel.

Very cool! Good luck with the race! I'm looking forward to watching it on your channel. That's racing! But it's all a learning experience. Make sure you use GOOD OIL.. like Amsoil etc... Key.. I know it's hard but keep a cool head. A mad mind never thinks well. Sometimes the fix is simple, but with a mad mind you don't think of the easy stuff. What tire pressures are you running? "Electrical crimp is loose" Note to self, don't use crimps on race applications. They MAY work on the street but not likely in a race applications. Use a sodering iron, shrink wrap and make is secure. They "1st race" let's you know what us actually needed to race. Lol been there done that on many occasions (super bike racing, SCCA Road racing AND Rally racing)

The 1000 is a monster! I love the ambition, but I'd suggest having fun at a few MORE, CODE or VORRA races first. The cost alone for the team, not to mention a complete car prep, when going down south is a fairly large hurdle for those with normal sized pockets. Whatever you decide, best of luck - goodness knows you guys put in the effort!

In the 1000.. their will be areas with hours of no radio communication among lots of other things.. and the money it costs is a heafty price

Man..theirs a couple things wrong with that lower shock bolt..and judging the car,, I would be absolutely blown away if the bug even finished the 1000.. I've raced the 1000,, 9 times in class 1.. got a e second place n two 3,d places..

What's stopping you? You can look around for your local rallycross, buy a beater off Facebook market place, Craigslist etc... and get a taste of it for yourself.
