Do you need to have the pet follow you to obtain its bonuses? Or once a pet is pulled its bonuses are applied to all characters and the following option is purely cosmetic?

i say this rarely. BAD GUIDE START! You should start by telling them waht to spend your very first free gems on, before explaining anything. since you can start the game and instantly upgrade your anvil to gold. without even doing anything. Edit: 2 real quick points: - 1. potential very bad error in your explaining "make 2 of each class" i bet that many player watching this guide will make the mistake of making 2 warriors then 2 archers, 2 mages, you should explain that they should start to make 1 of each and later make another 1 of each, with the exemption of the journes man. and yes you should mention the journeyman in this beginner guide. - 2. you should explain, the companion, and that you have to click the little doggo. once a week and that the time of reset is seen in the guild tab, and where the guild tab is. its not too long ago when i started and i remember perfectly well that i never saw this tab untill someone told me that. cheers.
