Something has been telling me Juri’s gameplan and options are similar to Ken with of course a few differences it’d be hilarious to see the million dollar character triumph again over her male counterpart and other top tiers. if i had it my way, id do away with DR completely....BUT if they did a thing where its zero at beginning, replace burnout with a classic stun type state instead. Maybe a stun meter or something. But burnout cant exist if DR guage has to build from zero so yea.

how to fix dr/the whole game in the next big patch? here are my thoughts: - round starts with half drive meter - cmk universally is atleast still - on block, even after dr and the same goes for overheads - all throw loops in the game require a dash forward like juri's - perfect parry now can only happen, when used against moves that took atleast 18 frames to hit the opponent. this would make it only possible to do in a reactive way and it would take away some random bs. - fixed wakeup timings are now only a thing after getting hit by sweeps and lv 3 supers (and MAYBE still throws) - when using dr, all buttons have their hurtbox extended drastically - every character gets new tools, but mostly to help specific matchups/add some alternate cool combos with similar outcome. since idk if we really want to directly buff anything right now... but like rebuffing anti projectile tools/adding them back to characters, in exchange for that overall dr nerf seems about right. - when canceling a button on block into dr, it now costs half a bar more than before and is not possible at all for lows - rebalance of strengths for characters, without nerfing or buffing them overall, like shifting some of the power of rashid's lv 2 or lily's chp to other tools, so that the character is not everything about that one broken thing

the best way to fix DR? Take it out of the game....game instantly becomes 3x better...That would never happen tho, then the devs would have to put in some real work to balance the characters without DR. Thats the real truth about DR. They use it as a blanket balance mechanic. Makes the game homogenized and repetitive, takes away from characters individuality and players playstyles. I like sf6 alot but DR def dulls the game

@nunyabizwacks6711 idk if removing it entirely would be the right call, when lots of the issues with it can be solved by just changing some properties. character individuality is a problem right now and the repetitive part is caused by overcentralization of the whole mechanic, since it is strong and spammable. but surely there are upsides and capcom already tried to let characters use it in different ways. but more or less we only see the strong usecases over and over. but for example, is low forward into dr really a bad thing, or is the real problem the lack of other options / the strenght of the options we have? like, should we go back to only single hitconfirm buttons into super, or jump fullscreen into crazy - frames and making it + with v-trigger? i think we need everything in the right dosis and the drive system looks like a flawed, but workable base to make it good in a long process.

Because there are actually alot of other options in the game and tons of neutral skip tools. Without it, we'd be forced to explore all other approach options and combo options more, creating a way more interesting game....in my humble opiniom atleast

As a spectator, the time-freeze, the aura burst and the quips that happen in V when a character v triggers is way too cool. Dan's VT2 in particular gets me every time, cool AF design even though v triggers might be weird from a competitive mindset.

A heavy normal into V trigger is a one time use that is usually only available when ur at 50% or lower., and if its blocked you get a strike/throw mix and if it hits you get a knockdown. Low forward drive rush is a mechanic that can happen multiple times per round and if it hits you get instant corner with around half the cast, and if it’s blocked you get a strike/throw mix. Some v triggers were broken but it’s not at all comparable my guy.

The only reason is he is playing to get paid (more power to him) and terrible at that since he cannot even at the very least pick a character that gives him the better chance. Why not change? For fun? I mean he doesn't like playing the game. Might as well pick some one else and increase your chances. And to be clear, I think iDom is one of the best American players. Up there with Punk, Du, Nephe, etc. He just put himself in a vary unusual position. Might as well take Mena's path. He thought SF6 was a$$$. Picked a character he thought gave him the best chance and now at least he appreciates the game.
