Narrative-wise, your map setup reminds me of what's happening to the Dead sea, which has dried up over the last 40 years stranding ships and seaport towns in a giant dry mudflat. Primarily due to water being diverted from the Jordan river for agriculture and drinking water. I can see why the Iondeath would invade under similar circumstances :)

At around the 33 minute mark you decided to just let the last 3 crossbows flee because they were no longer useful. Not sure if you remember that the Rally command ability, 1 dice for each slain model from the unit with each 6 bringing a model back (not likely to get lots back but you never know).. probably the right decision to not do that given the battleplan and them giving up victory points like you said, but good to remember the option exists. Edit: Also thanks for the entertainments. It's always nice to see some enjoyable AoS batrep videos, even better when it's not always "big monster army stomps army x" which are fun but not as an always every time thing.

As a CoS player this was painful to watch for many reasons. That Idoneth army is a top notch paint work that makes me want to start collecting the army.

So if Steve had used the seahorse's ability to let the Leviadon be in High Tide, he would have been at 9 wounds instead of 3, which would have been full bracket. Jaws would have hit for 3 damage, fins would have been 4 each. So instead of 5 damage, it would have been 12. Unless he was at 9 damage taken, second bracket, which means fins for 3each for 10 damage. Then he would have only taken 8 attacking rather than 20 attacking. Though yeah, he did use Unleash Hell when he redeployed, so I guess it all balances out. :-p

They are glass canons. Auto 5+ save with armor is helpful, but they need the buffs for defense. Their attacks are brutal on the charge and they get to poke back on the defense. For their price, they are great.

I highly recommend the start collecting kit if you are looking to play Idoneth, it has become a lot more value since the changes to Thralls!

Great batrep guys. Remember that the burning head is automatically dispelled after it moves. It's kind of a one shot endless spell, hence its low points cost.

It is only removed if after it moves there are models within 1" and you then do the 2+ roll. If there none within 1", then it stays around and can move again the next turn.

I sympathize with this grief: most of my Age of Sigmar miniatures are fantasy legacy, on round bases and adapted to the Mortal Realms. And here they will die: there is no turning back!

Matt, buddy. What is the point of Playing HammerHal if you're just going to let everything in your territory run? I love seeing you play cities, but it hurts when you could have made the game more interesting. Since your crossbows shouldn't have run you could have rallied them. The FreeGuild Guard could have been pulled back and either rallied later or used for screening in a different place.

Greatswords are always so disappointing. They never do alot for the points. Better off taking some phenoix gaurd, even without any bonuses the +4/++4 save is too good.

It's more likely him pulling an overly extented bit than actually cheating. Saying and saying that there's definitely this thing, searching for it from here and there, and after like 15-20min of going along with it, saying: "Yeah, naa. There never was a thing." Annoying in the long run? Yes. But would he outright cheat and not reveal he's doing a bit? Don't see him ever actually doing that. He's a good boy, who tries his best. Do they get a crapton of rules wrong, have a person roll three wounding attacks and the other just throwing two saves (43:01, how does that even happen? Neither of you noticing 3=/=2?) and acting all professional with "Well, Battlescribe said I could do it" (While a good app, it's ways away from being 100% reliable and you should ALWAYS have the actual documents it refers at hand, like... I don't know... Pro content creators at least should... Hell, a casual player should)? OH, HELL YES. But at the end of the day, they are only really cheating themselves with the "We work..." tittle. :D Lovable bunch of lads otherwise.

Yeah they were definitely saying he often jokes around, not that he cheats. That's why he was asking if matt was filming, because if matt was pulling his leg he wouldn't bother filming it.
