Yup, still not on AoS level yet, but they are getting there. Recent models (besides the BA refresh, the wierdly posed shield cap and the goofy Corteaz) were stellar. Pretty much since the WE release, models were fire. Even generic killteams were great.

@@diobrando7963 I would say the Dark Angels refresh was neat. Same with the Blood Angels characters. And while not out yet, the Krieg and Aeldar release is awsome. But yes, the year has few releases in 40k. We had both Aos and Killteam edition launches, so they probably did not want to compete with themselves.

Not having as many scales as the Heresy version actually looks really good in my opinion, makes him look smooth and sleek and like an eel or a hagfish or something, kinda matches the vaguely sea creature look a lot of Slaanesh stuff has going on. Crab claws for most of the daemons, the steeds of Slaanesh look like seahorses, etc. The mask/helmet also looks surprisingly good, I'd be tempted to try it.

@noidTV I wrote it a bit badly, what I meant is that people expect three characters in parallel to WE - the primarch (Angron/Fulgrim), the normal leader (Kharn/Lucius) and a third smaller one (Lord Invocatus/?). If they want to make a third one, there's not too many options - Eidolon is basically the only other one, and he'd have a hard time standing out.

I think both are equally good cause both serve a different but important purpose with fulgrim and slaanesh. Transfigured is the promise, the hook, while 40k is the reality of fulgrim and slaanesh. I get the beautiful one is more commonly popular but 40k is what fulgrim really is and what he should really be as an example of end stage slaaneshi corruption.

I think it's neat that all four chaos gods are getting their own space marine faction, but tbh even if I did collect chaos marines I'd probably still go Undivided and I don't care enough about named characters to pay the character tax for them. I think both models are fantastic for Fulgrim. I like the progression in this one and it is interesting see how they replaced the demon face with....whatever peel back skin nonsense is going on there with a giant slaanesh symbol. I also like they gave him a crab claw pincer for the tail. He was missing a crab claw in his 30K version. XD

Yeah but the FW one is nigh impossible to transport and play with. Thing is taller and wider than a Knight. And made of thin and fragile resin. Not fun to actually use. New one is good, just wish they gave some face options that were slightly less vampire. The one they used on their full model looks to me as the only really usable one (and the helm) Give me a more human smug smirky one and im happy

Fulgrim won't hit has hard as Angron for sure. But I bet the damn Datasheet willl give Fulgrim a high Move speed, a Feel No Pain and Fight First to just make him an awful opponent to deal with.
