There is actually no difference in the test conducted by IDP or BC. Both provide the the same IELTS test. However I found out that IDP test was more casual in terms of the delivery whereas BC tests were properly conducted and the registration procedure was done in a much professional manner.

Good point of IDP is they use Stopwatch in LRW test instead of Normal watch and examiner distrub in-between inturuppting 30min left 10min left like BC do.. IDP is more professional

I think the most significant difference between IDP and British Council is the option to chose between Computer Based Test (CBT) or Pen Based Test(PBT). If your handwriting is terrible, CBT is a blessing in disguise for you. CBT is offered through IDP in most locations. However right now, it is offered though British Council in only 3 or 4 centres (in india). (It goes without saying that PBT is available in all locations regardless whether you chose IDP or BC). I live in Bangalore and BC does not offer CBT, so I am going for IDP.

I took ielts academic in august and September through British council and IDP . Exams are same , there is absolutely no different I’d prefer prefer british Council because of the following reasons :- (1) Easy to apply online (2) they will give your result which test form results ( hard copy for free ) while idp doesn’t give it hard copy anymore since February 2020 (3)Idp gives us only soft copy of our results

Idp and British Council patterns are same, however the IDP computer based results are faster than British Council, I gave the test with IDP got results on 5th day and my husband went through British council and he got the result on 7th day... 2 days matters a lot, right...

Please make a video on your writing preparation. How you practised for each question types. Any imp tips. I got 6.5 on my first attempt and I really don't know how I should practise essay planning, writing, proofreading well. I took udemy course you had mentioned previously for writing task 2. Although lot of youtubers say to practise daily, it's difficult for me to concentrate after a tiring day at work.

At my center,BC serivce was very pathetic,they didn't even announce how much time left during exam,they even did mistake during my registration process, personally I would suggest to go for a idp if you want to get good service.
