I just found your videos and I am so in awe! Starry Night is a favorite painting of mine. To bad, when I went to snatch up a bar it was all gone. I did get a bar of the Aleppo knock off and a cute one with a gnome on it. As I was trying to make up my mind on which one to get they were just going poof- sold out. I am loving the challenge soaps. I just started and my soaps really look dull and boring. Thanks for the inspiration.

This is absolutely amazing. What a fantastic soap!!! If you ever find the time, I really would like to know (just roughly) how you calculated how much soap you need for the dustbin pour? What percentage of your batch is needed to cover the top? Or am I overcomplicating things?

Hi, thanks so much. No, you're not over complicating things. The easiest way to do it is think how much you normally use in the soap, so say it's 1200g. The dustpan pour would end up being about 0.5cm thick, so if your bars are normally 2.5cm I would do 1200d / 2.5 x 0.5 to get the amount. I would probably add a little extra to account for the bits that stay on the dustpan as well.
