What a nifty idea! I would've been too scared to even consider an embed. It actually made me really nervous to watch the first one go in. I knew it was going to turn out beautifully because I'd seen the pictures, but I couldn't help thinking it was going to distort your shimmy. Beautiful work!

Oh believe me I had every expectation of having to scrap it and make a second attempt, I deliberately measured them so they would fit easily, which was why they were so tiny. Then I just popped them in. covered them over and hoped. The 1st one actually went in a bit wonky, so on some of the bars the lower down bee is higher or lower, but i didn't dare move it and shift the batter. Like you I was expecting them to cause some distortion in the batter but they didn't. It was definitely an 'oh my goodness me, it worked' moment when I cut it. I actually cut the 1st two bars, was all excited so I then ran with them into the lounge to show Paul ( I had said to him just before, I'm going to cut my soap, but I'm probably going to have to make another one), I then had to come back and finish the rest of the cut.

I don’t make soap however I do use silicone measuring cups (for resin). They come in so many different sizes from tiny to very large. They are affordable and very easy to clean. I also don’t like single use products and found that the silicone measuring cups/containers were a game changer for making and reusing.

You have my vote. I am like you when I teach. I always use my hands but I have a tendency to animate a bit too much. It does help to get my point across when I’m tired and the words escape me. 😂 I love these bees. I wonder why flies or hornets don’t get much love. Bees can be a nuisance as well. Maybe they are forgiven because they give back. Your hair is looking 👍🏽 unlike mine this quarantine season.

Thank you so much Tracy, yes the hands, I do agree, tricky when you're tying to be expressive. For me with the bees it's the shape, they're a friendly rounded hairy shape whereas the other are more pointy and look meaner. Ooh thank you for the compliment on my hair, funnily enough I was struggling to get any hair dye on line as it was all for delivery in 6 weeks, then the other day Paul (my partner) came home from work with 3 boxes of it! he said there was so many to choose from, so he picked what seemed a good brand and chose a colour. How brave - I think I'd struggle to pick hair dye for someone else. So I'm all coloured up and have a couple more to keep me going . I hope you and your family are all keeping healthy and safe :-)

​@@clareellam1615 Oh gosh, we are so missing the bikes, by now we would be having fairly regular camping trips either off racing or going to watch some racing. Also I was due to fly to Florida this Thursday for a soapy holiday with a friend of mine :-( oh well at least we are safe and well, glad you are too.

I Dream In Soap yes I’m dying for a bike camping trip to the lakes or wales and my other half was meant to be getting back into hill climbing this year which is now to pot and we’d bought a bike to share as a track bike and they’re all just sitting there 😭 I can’t get into my leathers anyway tho right now 😝😝 we will be doing nhs ride of thanks next April tho and I’m using the time to make soap for my local hospital for gifts ; scaling up from 1.5 kg batches to 10.5 kg has been quite the eye opener!!! Eek!
