The 4-tone melody in the end came from the theme song of Cinema City's 1982 comedy Aces Go Places, which in turn BOB shared its same Chinese title (Jui Gai Pak Dong) as well as the song. (Yes, BOB paid for the copyright license to use it)

The rare intro for "Cinema Capital Entertainments Limited Release & Cinema City Enterprises Limited Production" from the early 1980s to the mid-1990s causes me a nightmare.

Cool!

Also, the music on that was a mix of the Cinema Capital Entertainments (the sinth notes and wooshing), and the Cinema City Enterprises theme(the remixed 1990 Cinema City theme.)

That one only appears in a few films only, itself kinda spin-off (so as Cinema City Entertainment) from Cinema City after it closed down in early 90s.... But the old Cinema City is fantasic! =)

Does anyone know a Hong Kong Ident theme that was base on a classical music piece but just the first notes on a synthesizer? I thought it was Golden Harvest but I cannot find it.

What are you personal favorites that are in this video? I like EMG, China Star #3, Anytime Pictures, Amuse, BIG (the one with the lava), Cameron Entertainment, Ocean Shores, Cinema City & Films (after China Star), Cinema Capital Entertainments, Filmko, Film Workshop #1 and #2, Golden Harvest 1978-2002 and Fortune Star. Those are just my favorites from this video. I'll list my other favorites on the other four videos, if i can. Still, what are your favorites?

GH got some variations throughout these 30 years: there's one in blue background if you search youtube; sometimes it shows "a GH distribution" instead of "presentation" as it has its own distribution arm; the most recent one (as seen in golden harvest's website) is only seen in theaters =)

I asked my fd who got a bunch of HK movies VCDs to capture those logos for me, unfortunately quite a lot of the films are from the same company... I'm now asking fds around to borrow me more VCDs so that I can put up another 10 mins of footage as Part II ~_~

Bad design and use of music though, another spin-off from Cinema City ended up in failure (see the first comment)... Cinema City Entertainment only released 2 films during its short life, one of them being "Dragon from Russia" starring Sam Hui.
