Clutch exposing himself was pure karma for trying to cap Charmy... the fact he admits he causes _sick kids_ is also a major reason he's gotta go. So Clutch clutched (insert Jim Carrey AHAHA! here) the villain ball at the last second, Lanolin's dropping the Sonic case to focus on the bigger picture (Iggy may be _very_ happy to see that), and Duo doesn't have much time left... all according to Kitkaku.

Oh dang! It’s all crashing down now, literally! Charmy pulling off the amazing moves, Clutch being exposed, Jewel taking me by surprise with that self-destruct switch, and then the old nut just trying to kill everyone! Now the revealed tension, and of course “Duo” once again puts tension on the Diamond Cutters. Lanolin’s so driven by that steeled sense of justice, she’s missing the big picture. Hopefully she’ll understand the truth next time. Love how Surge just points out Sonic left during the yelling. 😆

Well, even if Clutch survived, it's only a matter of time for him before Eggman started to went after him. As for Lanolin, I think SHE'S the one who should face the justice, once Mimic get exposed, it's gonna break her heart even more than when she finds out that Sonic's the Phantom Rider and her teammates hiding it from her. Also, it's kinda ironic that Lanolin snaps to her teammates for protecting a "dangerous criminal" while the one she always listened to IS an actual dangerous criminal.

Gotta admit, that was pretty stupid of Clutch to blurt that out, on camera, while holding the mic, but it does reveal to me a glaring weakness of his: anger. The moment things went sideways for him he lost his temper and couldn’t focus on anything else. When he first appeared, I didn’t think he would be much, but now he’s starting to prove to me that he’s a good villain. As for Lanolin, she seems to be obsessed with taking down anyone who has broken rules, saying she will “bring them to face justice.” She’s starting to remind me of the marines from One Piece.

@@videogollumer well, his main crimes may be expose, but there are still other things that need to be exposed to all: 1-(most obvious) Mimic turning out to have been Duo and had been deceiving everyone, especially Lanolin, clearing Silver and, to a lesser degree, Whisper 2- The boards turning out to have been sabotaged in issue 69, proving team Sonic's disqualification to have been unfair 3- Surge and Kit seem to be at somewhat good with everyone in spite of what happened last issue, but their role needs to be fully exposed 4- to Lanolin, what was really going on and that the phantom rider is really the good guy 5- The mascots turning out to be Rough and Tumble

When he realized that he was misled, he became grieved by the fact that he became what he sought to destroy. From there, he made up for his folly by allowing Shadows’ recruitment into GUN. Lanolin has yet to have that moment, but don’t you think it’s odd that she’s willing to arrest Sonic, even though he has proven himself as a savior to her already?

@- well for right now Sonic acting was a little bit to good as the PR it also didn’t help that Mimic impersonated him but luckily Whisper and Tangle have the evidence to prove it wasn’t all him. Like I keep telling the other guy she’s lawfully neutral trying to follow her own justice but right now knows there are bigger problems at hand. I just want them to talk actually talk no blaming, no saying who’s at fault just talk. Then when Mimic gets revealed I hoping it’s Lanolin that put the smack down on her or both her and Whisper double punch him in the face.

Okay, things are speeding up and I know a lot of people must be pissed off or confused about Lanolin and I am too, like. I even got to talk to Evan Stanley on Tumblr and she told me that she understands the fact that some people don’t like Lanolin and she even recognizes that part of that is the way she writes the sheep’s reaction to certain issues, the idea is for her to be a character who tries to follow the rules to the letter which makes her not very flexible like Sonic and company and this seems to be a point of development for her that is being worked on little by little, but now speaking personally after reading this issue the talk about Phantom Rider being a criminal doesn’t seem to make sense, he didn’t invade the competition to hurt anyone or steal the prize, he just invaded the race and drew attention to himself and nothing more so Lanolin seems to be just paranoid about him and because Phantom Rider is Sonic the others should already be more aware that there is possibly something he wanted to investigate and because he was disqualified he couldn’t go in there as himself, simple. She also said that part of Lano’s harsh attitude is due to Mimic’s interference, who, as an infiltrator, uses Duo’s “innocent and naive” attitude to instigate internal friction and create a rupture between them so he can attack Tangle and Whisper when they are alone. I understand all of this and I know it’s hard to write a good story with deadlines to meet, but I think it could be better and more understandable. Maybe making Lanolin apologize to everyone in public after hearing all the explanations would alleviate the bad impression of the character a little, like “she made a mistake but at least she acknowledged it, I hope it doesn’t happen again.”

This issue has a lot of drama. So they finally expose Clutch finally. And after I saw this I was so, so happy. But not going to lie the whole Lanolin situation, I still hate her for not listening to other people. Like all these bad things would have been avoided if she would have just stop being stubborn and stop being blinded by everything around her and choosing not to listen. So ironic for her to say " You're protecting a criminal." When she's been doing that the whole time with Duo. Who, I should remind you helped kill his team. And she let that on her team. If anything I'm so glad that Tangle and Whisper hid that from her because I knew she wasn't going to listen to reason. Like they're on the MVP's in this. And I just like how Kit just caught Duo trying to leave knowing that he's trying to run away with his tail between his legs. And how Surge did asked him about this, putting him into a corner. And with him lying, I know his days are getting numbered. I want this last issue for him to be exposed for who he. And can I just say that I love Sonic more in this arc since he doesn't care about explaining himself to anybody he cares about helping people on that flying fortress. It shows a lot of character from him knowing that he will be able to do the wrong things for the right reasons and be ready to help other people in time of need. So far I can't wait for issue 75 to see the ending. I want Sonic to win, Duo or to be exposed, And have Lanolin learn a lesson about listening to other and learning how to be less stubborn and arrogant.

Well, things has gotten really wild now and the setup for the Finale of this Arc is complete, let’s see how it all goes. I wonder what Surge and Kit will do? Also, I am really starting to think that Kit might have started to become even more unhinged than Surge was at the beginning.

An all around great climactic issue! Side characters and all! Good choice in music too considering a lot of the crowd look more like Forces avatars than usual. (2 even have wispons) The fight scenes could've been done a bit better since so much was just kinda in the background. I really wanted to see how Don fights... 2:15 First Eggman pulls actual guns on Tangle, now Clutch has a rifle and ready to shoot a kid. (He really doesn't care about the environment or kids) Nite was definitely the star of the show this issue! Sure the "villain exposes themselves on camera" thing has been done a bunch and was predictable but still! Nite stayed calm, knew what to do and didn't even flinch! BUT 5:33 No way he got that USB inside in one go! And again the fighting just happens off screen... Even Jewel is all roughed by the time she plays her trump card 8:38 (She had a plan after engaging the SD sequence though right? RIGHT?) It's still great to see how much braver she's grown after everything she's experienced so far. Not that surprised Clutch is going kamikaze though. He's older than Eggman and lost all business. Literally nothing left to lose after living a long enough life. Character with no growth though.... Lanolin... I wasn't that upset at her for being a straight shooter type of character. I was a bit upset at her immediately shutting down Whisper and Silver when it came to Mimic but still I welcomed her personality cause it's not something you really see with Sonic's friends. Even Shadow would immediately act first and ask questions later if he were in this situation. But man HOW IS SHE *THIS* DENSE AND TUNNEL VISIONED!?!? 10:46 WOMAN, HE *_IS_* JUSTICE! I can't wait to see her actually try and come up with a reason he would become a "criminal". It'll be good for a laugh. (But yes I still like her design, personality and character no matter how annoying it gets...) @ Yeah. People all pile on Tangle, Whisper, and Silver, as if they’re the ones in the wrong. They’ve made mistakes, but they’re overall amazing characters who learn from their mistakes and become better. Tangle was insensitive for naming their new team the Diamond Cutters, but she just got caught up in the moment and wanted to honor Whisper’s old team, and sincerely apologized the moment Whisper let her know how she felt about the name. (Tangle gets way too much hate for that moment. Whisper forgave her, and so do I) Whisper can be reckless and distanced herself from her friends for a little while, but it’s understandable because of her trauma and she’s learned not to do so anymore. Whisper and Silver were definitely a bit reckless with how they handled Duo, but not only were they right about him being Mimic, they had very good reason to believe he was Mimic since Silver saw Duo’s eyes turn black and Whisper saw Duo trip Silver, and since Whisper didn’t have her mask recording at the time, an understandable mistake she’s learned from and made sure to record things again, she really had no physical proof to show Lanolin, and Lanolin sure wouldn’t have believed what they said considering she ignored Silver when he rightfully complained about Duo leaving him to die, which he would have been right to do even if Duo wasn’t Mimic, as well as Duo changing her story to her face. Furthermore, Whisper wanted to get proof of Duo being Mimic before hurting him until Silver inadvertently derailed their plan, and while Whisper did put her hands on Lanolin to get her out of the way so she could prove Duo was Mimic, Lanolin was responsible for escalating it into a fight by punching Whisper and knocking her to the floor instead of just lightly shoving Whisper away and telling her to get a hold of herself, and everything Whisper did afterwards could be argued as self-defense. And considering how cowardly and egotistical Mimic is, letting himself deliberately get hurt and lose a fight just to keep a cover going when Whisper and Silver are already onto him is something that he probably wouldn’t have done if he wasn’t working for Clutch and needed to stay as part of the Restoration, so I can actually understand Whisper being fooled into thinking he’s innocent. What’s important is that she still didn’t drop her suspicions of Duo and started recording things with her mask again so she could have physical proof of what she saw in the future. Lanolin, on the other hand, has learned nothing, never showed trust or compassion for anyone who isn’t Duo, treated everyone else like disposable soldiers as opposed to people, and was fine with letting thousands of people die just to arrest Sonic for disrupting races held by a company that was publicly revealed as evil in a live broadcast she just saw. Considering how poorly she reacted to Sonic being the Phantom Rider, Tangle and Whisper were actually 100% justified to keep her in the dark, not to mention she doesn’t realize how odd it is that Duo knows what Tangle and Whisper know since he was supposedly unconscious during the third race. Lanolin does still have the capacity to redeem herself, help save everyone, help defeat Mimic, apologize to Sonic, Silver, Tangle, and Whisper for her horrible treatment of them, let Silver rejoin the Diamond Cutters, and give the leadership position to Whisper since she’s much more qualified. But I worry she’ll just get a slap on the wrist, ruin Tangle and Whisper’s chance at catching Mimic since he’s on the covers for Issue 76, refuse to show remorse for her behavior, and everyone else will be forced to apologize to her. Sorry if this comment’s long, the wait for Issue 75 is killing me and I just want to get my thoughts out there.

I know the difficulty of facing non-Sonic fans and Lanolin apologists accusing this of just being another senseless hatred toward a new character. They fail to realize that Lanolin is being a legit jenny ass; and no, it's not just because she's "fOlLoWiNg ThE rUlEs"! The only rules she's following are the ones in her head that no one but her is following! She is a text book Lawful Stupid character! I don't know why Evan Stanley is thinking this a good idea. You usually write a character like this when you WANT the audience to hate them. Still, at this point, her long term perception among fans will all depend on how she acts in Issue 75. If she realizes the massive error of her ways and repents, people may come to forgive her; but if she continues to refuse to admit she was wrong, she'll be doomed to become a target of unforgiving hatred for years to come. Screw her and screw the condensed story telling of the comics recently, especially this arc, as the with arcs taking forever to rap up and having characters only being shoehorned in and existing to progress the plot while also doing it very poorly. We can never get the Neo Metal Sonic arc or the Metal Virus arc back, I've excepted that long ago but for god sake the month long window isn't helping the slow paced storytelling with the only good arc we actually got was the Eggpereial City arc only because it was only a few issues and divided the characters into groups to take care of their current problem then all working together to quickly take care of Eggman. Everything else post Metal Virus has just been going on much longer then they needed to be which showed the cracks and forced plot in those stories. Sorry, I just needed to get this off my chest.

That may not seem as bad as you would think but we got multiple mini arc comics that were only 4 issues along with the arc "Chao Races and Badnik Bases" and "Test Run" arc were also 4 issues with the other arcs having at most 6 issues and they were all at least decent.

Nothing Lanolin has done thus far has actually been illegal, but she has come off as harsh and cold hearted and has shown more care about rules then the well being of her teammates and is unwilling to listen to their opinions unless it's what agrees with her, and she's become single-minded, being blind to Cleansweep and Mimic, who were deceiving and taking advantage of Lanolin's dedication to rules. plus, she's black and white viewed. while not legally wrong, she does need to be more flexible and open minded and give people the benefit of the doubt more often, and also learn to get all the facts before making a conclusion, not to mention take a holiday now and then. but at her core, she does generally care for the well being of people, choosing to save the people on the battleship and stop it crashing over catching the phantom rider. plus she's insecure from having a traumatic experience with being helpless in issue 2, which justifies her paranoia. and that isn't to say I hate her or denounce her, but her cold attitude since issue 64 and being somewhat of an obstructive bureaucrat, which hinders the heroes's attempt to expose/ stop the villains is what some people are against, not to mention she was a bit unfair with Silver in issue 64 and team Sonic in issue 73, though she didn't do anything illegal at the time. On the other hand, Whisper, Silver and Tangle, while they should've told Lanolin, felt like they couldn't. in issue 64, Silver and Tangle had no physical proof and felt that Lanolin would not believe them without it, and was probably not in the right mind set to listen, given her increasing stress. and while Silver was wrong to act too soon and just charge in after Mimic proactively, which played into his hands, Whisper, when caught, and while she was a bit rash afterwards, did try to explain what they were doing, Lanolin cut them off and wouldn't listen, so Whisper decided to try and show Lanolin while trying to move her out of the way without harm, but Lanolin got defensive and threw her down, and only afterwards did Whisper get offensive. And while Tangle and Whisper did keep the phantom rider's identity a secret, it was because they knew that Lanolin was in a blind zealous hunt for the phantom rider and would've hunted sonic down without giving him a chance, and it's justified due to Sonic actually being the good guy and saving the day. of course, it did hurt Lanolin, but still. plus they did tell Jewel, albeit shortly afterwards, and she was more open-minded the one truly at fault is Mimic, who has taken advantage of Lanolin's over dedication to rules, lack of experience and naivety and gaslighted her with compliments and smooth talking and crocodile tears, and uses her to plant discord in the diamond cutters. the inevitable reveal that Duo is Mimic will undoubtably shock and break Lanolin's heart and open her eyes to what's really going on, which'll be the Catalyst to improving Lanolin's character and making her more flexible and being able to balance keeping order with doing the right thing
