You can buy rubber washers to put between the screws and the nuts to help with the noise. We did this with our metal bed frame and it helped a lot. I really love your decorating style!❤

use some household oil on the hinges and even on the screws of the futon. sofa. you can also put lemon oil on the wood slats to moisten them and hopefully reduce the creaking.. make sure you wipe of All the extra oil from the hinges and rub it into the wood really well. let it dry/cure overnight before putting the futon back on it.

So cozy! You might try oiling the wood of your futon, perhaps with teak oil. Leave it on for a while to soak in, then wipe off any excess. But I would leave the mattress off of it for a few days to make sure the oil is all absorbed so it doesn't get on the futon cover.

Thank you!❤️ I actually used beeswax on all the moving parts, but I think the squeaky noise comes from the small wooden boards and and all the tiny metal screws. I might try using some oil there…but I’m a bit hesitant, because yes my futon mattress is practically white!😂

For now, it’s time to enjoy the upcoming holidays, and maybe in the new year, I’ll continue! 🤗Perhaps one day I can get to decorate my very own home, where I could choose the kitchen and bathroom myself☺

Your futon wood frame squeaks because wood is dried out. It will stop over time :) You can also resolve this on your own by just rubbing beeswax in every screw hole and in and around hinges. I personally would just oil whole piece with linseed oil to bring it back to life and make wood more elastic :)

I've already used beeswax on the moving parts, and it helped a little. Maybe I do need to oil the whole base though. Huh, a lot of work, haha! 😅Thank you❤️
