Many thanks ! I've bought one and just set it up. Easy to set up .I think the main disadvantage is that it does not offer continuous auto recording ie recording triggered by any motion. You have to manually record any motion. I guess it's a basic device and it would be a strain on the battery, if that was the case.

Thanks for the comment. Yes, most solar cams can't offer continuous recording due to battery drain.

Great video, not many reviews on this camera, What do you think the motion detection range is? My back gate is 13m away from the closet viable cctv camera location point and I want it to detect people coming in/out of the gate. Night vision is a claimed 15m according to Amazon, unsure if thats detection range or clear colour night vision range? However the manual (which I found online) states on the highest sensitivity the motion detection range is 8-13 metres.

To be honest - I think it also depends on light during the day and weather conditions. If it is really clear in the day or night, I reckon it can pick up motion 13m-15m if the object if fairly large. My tests the furthest I could get was about 10m-11m. And it picked me up there. I am fairly large too - hehehehe.

@@thereviewdaduk I didn't think of lightning, daytime would be fine but night time it's basically pitch black on the garden side of the gate but the other side of the gate there is 1 street light off set to one side about 20 meters away that partly lights up the back fence and gate and now I have no idea if that's a help or a hinderence 🤷🏻😅 thanks anyway 👍

It only has Amazon Alexa in the app as a menu option.

Do you ever have to take the camera down to recharge it or does the solar panel keep up?

I have not had to do it as most days it is bright enough to keep enough charge. I tested another solar camera with a high motion trigger area, and it was raining for 4 days, quite dark, and it went down to 8%. I assume if it is darker during the day for a long time, it would go flat.

Can you turn off the lights at night? I tried turning off Audio Warning and Strobe Light. Thank you.

Under Motion Detection - there is a setting for Audio Warning and Strobe Light at the bottom - if you go into this, it shows the setting you have mentioned. Then at the bottom of that screen there is an option for a Sound And Light Alarm Plan. This can then be set to not trigger the Audio or Light during certain times. Hope this helps.

From ANRAN. 'You can connect as many cameras as you have to the ANRAN APP. It has no limit on the number'. Hope this helps.

Turn off the camera as reboot it? If so, open the app. Then open the camera to view. Then to top right to go to settings. The scroll to the bottom. Last two buttons. One says reset and the other says delete.
