@14:22 should there be the article "a" in the text after the word "given"?
@IELTSJacky3 жыл бұрын
Yes, you are quite right. Well spotted and apologies for the error.

Greetings Jacky, I am curious, is reading the whole text and answering questions simultaneously worthy? I actually have developed the habit of reading the whole text and answering simultaneously while reading. Is it risky to do that in a real exam? in practice, I can complete it within time.
@IELTSJacky3 жыл бұрын
Hi Anish. Do whatever works best for you. The recommendations in my lessons regarding the different types of reading questions are for guidance. If you have developed a way of answering the questions in the time given that is successful for you, use it. All the best, Jacky

For the example question in website. I have written "APPLICATIONS" as the answer for 21. The given answer is APPLICATION. Would I be marked wrong ?
@IELTSJacky3 жыл бұрын
Hi Meghana, I can’t be 100% certain. The answer given on the official IELTS website is ‘application’ or ‘initial application’ as these are the words given in the text. You might get away with writing ‘applications’ but to be sure of getting the mark, always use the exact word from the text as the instructions tell you to. Regards, Jacky

@@IELTSJacky Thank you, Jacky, I do have another query and would love to know your opinion. In form/table completion questions of the Reading Module, should our answer be grammatically correct, what if I use the word as it is in the passage and the sentence is not grammatically correct. Will I be marked wrong?

@@Icare99999 To get the mark, your answers must be grammatically correct.

why is the last answer not "Emergency procedures" she only chose emergency
@IELTSJacky2 жыл бұрын
“Emergency procedure” would be incorrect. An "emergency" is a serious, unexpected and often dangerous situation requiring immediate action. An “emergency procedure” is the series of actions taken to deal with the emergency. They are not the the same thing. I hope this makes sense. Jacky
