Hello everyone, I sat for the IELTS speaking on last Friday and here are my questions : The first part: questions about hometown and furniture and recycling: - what is good about your hometown, how does it look like etc,.. and -what is your favourite furniture at home and what furniture would you like to have, did you friend sent you furniture or not? - the recycling part was: do you recycle? Did you recycle as a child? What do you recycle? Why do you think it is important to recycle? The second part was about ambitions: talk about an ambition you had, when why, what did you do to reach it etc and then the PART3 was related to part 2, why should people have ambitions? Why do we need ambitious people in a team? Why so many people want to have a better position at work etc,.. I hope this will help you to review more for the Speaking test! Good luck everyone :))

Im so happy for you. You just made my day.😊 I REALLY WILL BE APPRICIATED if you feedback me about my writing . Here is my essay:: . Recently, the phenomenon of learning more than one language has sparked an ongoing controversy, which inevitably leads to a moot question “would it be important in the future?”. Whereas it is a widely held view that the ability to communicate in more than one language is vital, I will discuss controversial aspects of that throughout this essay. From the communicative standpoint, the effective communication is bound up inextricably with the people’s command of language, which indicates they lead to both power of expression and sharing opinions. As a well-known example, a longitudinal study conducted by eminent scientists in 2014 demonstrates the relationship between social networking and broadening horizon as well as an exponential increase in multinational interactions. Their academic criticism was impressive. Researchers, nevertheless, paid heed to more job opportunities, business links, and future prosperity alike. Consequently, my empirical evidence presented thus far supports the contention that the likelihood of better global understanding is correlated positively with not only the international co-operation but also command of a dominant language. Within the realm of society and education, without the slightest doubt, mastering a common language attribute to language barrier elimination, in that it would come down to the less cultural shock, social customs, and cultural diversity. A salient example of such attribution is the bilingual education, which is a cause for concern since it was mistaken to take the language acquisition for granted. Had there been a paradigm shift earlier, scholars might have had the opportunity to pinpoint the studying abroad problems. Likewise, hardly had they confined their attention to the social conversation, global training, and even being up- to-date. Besides, this criterion is an indispensable part of modern lifestyle. Hence, it is reasonable to infer the pivotal role of sociocultural aspects of being multilingual. To conclude, as for myself, as the saying goes “all’s well that ends well,” after analyzing what elaborated above, I firmly believe that in the future being bilingual or multilingual will be more important than it is now. However, with the benefit of hindsight, we conceive the more we research, the further we discover. However, with the benefit of hindsight, we conceive the more we research, the further we discover.

@Nahid Forootan No there’s no break between writing and reading. They’re done at the same time along with listening test. Total time would be around 3 hours. For speaking try to practice it with someone, learn few advanced vocabulary, learn some idioms, try to be confident and calm. If you make a mistake, correct it, if you couldn’t, just move on. Good luck 👍🏼

Thanks for all the helpful videos, Asiya! Just received my IELTS score... I needed 7 overall and at least 6,5 in each of the four parts, and I ended with an average of 7,5 and LRSW with 8,5/8/6,5/6,5. It was close to the lower limit... but just enough xD P.S. - I only had one week to prepare myself, and I did not require any teacher. I was anxious, and so I wasn't that good at speaking. I did writing with a great text structure, covering all the main points and with an overall/conclusion in task 1/2). However, I believe I had some spelling and grammar errors. Concerning Listening and Reading, I expected half a point more in both. Part of my hesitation was due to the trillions of website that say that you cannot pass IELTS without expensive training, including teachers, books, lots of tries, etc. Following these instructions, we could easily use more than 2 000 pounds or euros. Nonetheless, if you have proper English, you won't stand a problem scoring even a better score than I did, by seeing these remarkable videos from Asiya (and perhaps also some from English Speaking Success) and practising with official exams. Good luck everyone!

@yooos34 жыл бұрын
Nahid Forootan Hey Nahid! I'm glad it motivated you. Luckily I never had much trouble in the speaking section but that's maybe because I communicate in English at work. Only advice to you for speaking is that listen to the question very carefully. Do not use complex vocabulary if you're not sure about it. It's better to keep a steady flow than to use heavy words with long pauses. And practice as many questions as you can. Most of the times, questions are very similar to the ones that have been asked before. Practice not to memorize but so that you gain some ideas about the topic. Nevertheless, the examiner is also a human being, it'd be much easier if you talk like you are talking to a friend, that way not just you'll be less hesitant but also your body language and expressions will come up as a native speaker. All the best for your exam 😊 And to answer your second question: There's a break between every section but just for like 5 minutes. But you're not allowed to bring anything except your passport! I took the computerized test, so I wasn't even allowed to bring a pencil or pen. They do give access to lockers so that you can keep your stuff there (big enough to fit a medium sized bag). They'll provide water to you during the exam but that's it. Nothing to eat!

@@nahidforootan1154 No problem :) Just have some wholesome food before entering the exam hall. I always had breakfast before the exam and kept peanuts in my bag. But anyway, I think when you'll be writing the exam, you will get so much involved in it that you won't even realise that 3 hours have passed! PS. it's better if you don't have to go to the washroom in the middle of the exam as it would waste your time, it's worse if it happens during writing section where the time limit is already quite stringent! Anyway, good luck :) Hope it goes will for you!

WHat to do if you got a question in card where you need to answer at least for 1-2 minutes in Speaking test, but the question about the topic which you dont know? Telling them you don't know about it and explaning why, I think wouldnt be enough, especially for 1-2 minutes. It probably could be considered as off topic answer? For example I had small quetions first about sport (I am not a sport fan), but somehow I answered them, when finally they gave me 1 minute to think hard (for me) topic - which football club I like and why....I never watched a football....

@@hemagullapalli5443 hey buddy....while practicing stick to a particular type of question...practice that rigorously then proceed to another type..for example..i was abit weak in true false not given so i used to practice this particular type until i start getting them all/maximum correct..then after overcoming my weak areas i started practicing and taking whole length test ..wish u goodluck....u will surely achieve the desired band score..🙂

My speaking questions were: Have you met a famous person? Describe a polluted place that you have visited. Where it was? What can we do to make the pollution better? Why some people don’t care about pollution? And my writing had a diagram describing the process of soil fertiliser production for part one. And part 2 wanted me to say my opinion about the statement “governments should provide people with housing”
