it seems to me that she is talking very fast without any natural pauses or hesitation. You can not notice these even in a native band 9 speaker. It is like she memorized the answers, Especially part 2, non-stop response.

I agree. I stutter a lot, But that's what makes me human, and if this is cutting 1 band.... I'm fucked. IELTS is not checking if I can talk without saying "Uhm" "oh" or "hmm", actually they encourage saying this. They check if we can speak casually or clearly to the country we want to go to. Edit- I got 7.5.... not because Idk English. It's just I can't stay focused while giving exams. And I was nervous lol

Is really true about Russians? I mean, I didn't get offended by any means but as far as I can see from various youtube chanels with Russians living in the USA, UK or Cananda, they are working really hard to become at least fluent speakers in English. Some of them are getting rid of their accent pretty close to native speakers. May be it is just me and overrall picture is different.

Deserves 8.5 Band. Perfectly spoke with kind gesture!! I found her confident, nimble, and had lots of ideas to share. Additionally, she knows how to finish and start a normal and natural conversation. I could imagine this level of performance comes just with years & years of being surrounded by people who speak English. She has shown a strong vocabulary related to asked questions. The major part as I observed was that she used normal sentence structure and had few grammar mistakes. I accept those grammar mistakes because being second English speakers, we feel nervous and focus more on sharing views instead of correcting ourselves. The examiner allowed her to speak properly, in the end of part 2 while she was finishing her last statement she had a 4 secs break its normal and its nature. Common mistakes can be avoided once we give our five stars quality.

Unfortunately, I cannot tell the same story about her decent band score given the fact that she speaks unnaturally although eloquently. She doesn't care about intonation where she's supposed to go up and down. In spite of this factor, she has done a great job in almost every section of speaking part and as for evaluation she deserves a firmly solid 8.0 BAND score. Personally, if I happen to be an examiner one day then I'd definetely assess all the cadidates proportionately by taking all the criteria into account. Nevertheless, her speech was outstandingly good much appreciated for her efforts.

Do remember that it is virtually impossible for all examiners to have the same "objective" assessment of a candidates performance. There is about a .5 to 1 band variability among examiners, so it makes sense that you score her 8, Axar (see other comment), scores her 8.5, and I score her a 9. ***Importantly, candidates must aim high in case they get an examiner who is more critical of their diction.
