b) why teenagers prefer junk food over home cooked food? - Junk food involve artificial flavour that taste so delicious. Examples that support the above view. - Recent research by world health organization has found that fast foods contain 90% artificial flavour taste and contain 10% natural vitamins and thus provides very less amount of energy.

This video is very helpful. I have a doubt that Can I use two examples in two paragraphs? Do I have to use only one example in whose essay?? Please reply to me.
@atulpandey1235 жыл бұрын
IELTS examiners look for well extended arguments. This means that instead of listing out too many arguments, you are better off writing just one or two well-extended arguments. Even writing 1 argument + 1 example per paragraph is fine as long as you write over 250 words overall.

@@KamalSingh-wr2cx Just a single extended topic line and/or an example should be enough for an idea.

I never know we can make up a research, survey, etc before. I know that ielts tests our language not our knowledge, but the possibilities to support ideas by making up such things didn't occur in my mind. 😂 this definitely helps me a lot. Thanks a lot Sir.

Sir wen a topic is like ....some people consider scientific discoveries n inventions as a waste of tym n money ....to wat extent you agree/disagree?? Then what ideas n how
@IELTSOnlinePractice5 жыл бұрын
Hi Radhika, a few ideas that I can think of are as follows: on the positive side you could say that new inventions help in tackling emerging needs in various sectors such as education and health. Give a few examples of diabetes kits that help people measure blood glucose levels at home, thus saving lives. Another example could be discovery of new drugs/treatments for diseases like HIV or cancer.. these improve the quality of life in the long run but take years to show results. On the other hand, there are more urgent needs that affect every day life of people .. such as improving roads, building more schools etc Write your essay based on whichever side you agree more with. Hope this helps.

IELTS Online Practice sir I got it but one thing I want to ask is the question is to what extent .....n if I want to b partial then ???
@IELTSOnlinePractice5 жыл бұрын
Radhika radhika Please go over my video tutorial for a discussion on your question: www.ieltsonlinepractice.com/topic/brainstorm-organise-ideas-writing-task-2/ If the question says "to what extent do you ...." then you MUST say "I STRONGLY/PARTIALLY agree/disagree with the view that ... " . In other words, you have the specify the EXTENT of agreement. If you "strongly agree/disagree" then you can write the entire essay supporting only one opinion. If you partially agree/disagree then you should write 1 paragraph for and 1 paragraph against. When the question is "do you agree or disagree" then you do not need to specify the EXTENT of agreement but the general structure of the essay can be the same as above. i.e. you can write either fully about one view or 1 paragraph for each view. A 3rd scenario is when the question says "discuss both views" .. In this case, you MUST write about both sides of the argument. Hope this helps.

In all of the band 9 samples there are statistical examples present to support the argument, how does one prepare for that? If we add such content does it increase the chances of getting a 9 or 8.5?
@atulpandey1233 жыл бұрын
Dear Riitvee - IELTS is an English language test. As such the statistical examples can be completely made up. They do not need to be accurate or based on facts. The purpose of the examples is to extend your arguments. Hope this helps.
