It is amazing that Subaru kept some basic designs of their boxer engine for 30 years. I started my dealership life at Subaru in 1998 and my 93 legacy wagon had some similar attributes. Nice job taking out the shake 👍

Reminds me of a truck I put an engine in about 20 years ago. The trans mount was totally separated into two pieces, you'd get on it and the trans would vibrate all over the place. It even had loosened the bellhousing bolts and cracked the flexplate on the old motor. Nice job 🤘

I replaced the front motor mount on my 2010 LGT when I rebuilt the engine at 190k a couple years ago. It's at just over 200k now. The old one wasn't nearly as bad as yours lol crazy how the metal was broken like that.

Just insane right? Idk what it is but the single motor mount is the problem I think. Wear out way too fast

@@kirstieskarz agreed. I've owned my car since 2016 and first changed the front mount shortly after I bought it. There are also 2 hydraulic style motor mounts on the left and right side that may cause excess stress on the front mount if they are worn. They are a PITA to get to though. OEM part # 41022AJ040 I didn't change them with the engine out on mine cause they seemed to be fine. I don't like the way Subaru did the mounts on these cars.

Them cracks look pretty clean, it probably broke after the last job. What was it a engine or trans you said you replaced?? Either way it probably had a hairline crack in it & broke sometime during your test drive.
