You need to look at the new Quarte panel its your template for the out lines of your cutting. Don't go of all your seams its laying right there. Just keep loooking at what your re3placing it with and don't cut out to much.

Found your channel by Kizmit, I guess. My 1st vehicle was a 75/76 El Camino parents bought for Me before graduating Jr.High to High School. It came with a blown up S.B. motor & spare 78? Camaro 350 Motor to overhaul & install. Dad had a LIST of things for Me to do before I could drive it. He got hand wire brushes you normally scrape welds or clean bbq grill with, 6 cans of undercoating black spray, masks, goggles, safety glasses, gloves. Old 1 piece jumpsuit to work on vehicle and under it, luckily in driveway, not in dirt. Glad @ 16 was working right in front of dining room and kitchen. Ate sandwiches and drink lots of lemon tea in the summer making it road worthy again. After Dad had Me scrape the FULL FRAME from front ℹ back under Meaner as He called it. Rust & dirt all over concrete, my eyes past safety glasses, falling out of my hair and scalp. I didn’t understand why I had to do all this work. But was Told this was the best way to appreciate the Vehicle More from work involved & labor from making it run again mostly by My time & labor. Parents paid for parts! Course @ the age I felt like free slave labor doing the dirty work for a vehicle I thought I’d only have to put gas in? Haha… Not. Made Me do brake jobs front & rear under His Supervision and Me looking like a Raccoon in a shop dumpster! 🤣. Good-times…. Then the day came to put key in ignition and hear the engine run for the 1st time. Good still off from installing fresh motor rebuild after it sitting on Giraffe Engine stand for month! I asked to leave hood off to drive to school. Pops said you want your chrome air cleaner missing? No.. so hood was put back on as it was going to be anyway with hood locking latch inside cab was nice theft deterrent. I raced 454’s with that Professional Tunned Quadrajet Stock Carb rebuilt and rejected by Mechanic Demo The Italian. He was a Super Cool Guy Dad was Good Friends with.. the 454 still walked away little bit from Me but I always smiled knowing it was much and as much as they thought? -anyway enjoy Your El Camino. That electric radio antenna reminds Me of the 70’s or is that The 70’s Show. & Did you know that the El Camino is Basically a Station Wagon without the Top. Pops told Me that! After I told him I seen 1 with a fiberglass too on it. Take Care Girl 💯✅.

I've been doing body and paint work for 217 years. Started out on horse drawn buggies. I once painted a Ferrari in a sandstorm, 83 coats of lacquer, all done with a bug sprayer.. and it came out better than factory. Everything you're doing is wrong! Insert wall of old man all caps text here________________ Jokes aside, nice work. Just remember, no matter how many little spots you have to weld in a piece or fix things you cut wrong it will turn out a million times better in the end than that rusty mess it was to start out with. You rock 👍🤘

I am a retired paint and body man I enjoy your videos and admire your get it done attitude and your talking doesn't bother me, you need the rear lower inner panel and the outer wheel well to patch that up so you would have something to weld to I would also cut the spot welds out of the door jamb so your not trying to overlap the quarter panel in the door jamb ,also I would have cut the top of the quarter panel at the top you could get a tool that makes a flange to overlap panels and then weld them also be careful welding your sheet metal you can warp the heck out of it stitch weld it and move around to keep from it getting too hot wow I have to much to type I hope this helps stay determined

Leave that EDP on there until it's time to paint the car. When you're ready to paint them strip the EDP off and prime the bare metal. 🤙🏼
