most of the character models are puppets, plushies and figure statues, and sometimes is just a head with a large stick over here (as seen in the bts of sonic movie 2)

then, they contract a cgi studio (they used framestore for if) which the cgi will be made! then, the editor makes sure if everything is correct, then he add some lighting and done! a hybrid cgi movie is born!

So they saw Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends and ran with it with their own take on it. Hell the big guy is even called Blue (Bloo) although very big, purple and not an butthole (Eduardo) lol. I enjoyed this film very much though don’t get me wrong, I even shed a few tears. Reynolds and Krasinski are awesome separately so it was bound to be good.

I wish we could have had a more Jim Henson approach to some of the characters instead of cgi, but overall this was a great movie!
