If the Denver Broncos solve their QB problem, how fast can they close the gap inside of the AFC? How can the Broncos draw parallels from the Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs in terms of team building? What are some other examples from around the NFL that have also demonstrated this.
Cody Roark and Sayre Bedinger share their Broncos analysis and more with Broncos Country.

A great listen, as always. Based on what I'm hearing from the draft process, it sounds like SP is doing everything he can to make the most logical, informed choice for quarterback. While I have some guys I hope he doesn't take, I do believe if anyone's going to get it right, it's our coach.

Honestly, i think we should trade bk...maybe with the rams (just negotiate dont touch bo lol) thats moving 7 spots down...we could probably get their 2nd if so at pick 19h get bo then in the 2nd grab sanders TE from tx if he is not there get Franklin to get rhythm with bo off the gate. I think we should trade sutton for another pick just saying if not okay. But IF we do also move bk in the 2nd and grab a stud corner..the rest of the picks get dawgs on defense..

Whomever they choose for QB, from wherever they come, I hope he is the right choice. Denver has never drafted a HOF QB. It is high time they do just that. If I am correct, PSII was the first probable HOF CB they have ever drafted. It is time to get a similar type QB. Hope the luck for PPP is good this month. Getting a HOF QB in the draft unfortunately truly comes down to luck and the right situation. One other thing is certain, nobody is irreplaceable.

CJ Stroud is an outlier...like Marino long ago. The Sean Payton blueprint is not to catch lightning in a bottle by getting lucky with a generational talent but to get a veteran who has a fast processor & can read defenses. Denver already has one, witnessed to by Sean Payton himself when he has gone out of his way to mention the fact that 1) he saw Stidham as a potential starter when he signed him, & 2) he has specifically praised him for his processing speed & ability to read defenses. In other words, the guy the fans & media geeks have ignored & tabbed as nothing but a backup is the guy Payton probably likes to be his starter in 2024. It pays to listen to Payton instead of ESPN. If this seems ridiculous, consider the fact that Payton has also said that he thinks maybe only 2 of the 2024 rookie QBs will make it. Payton himself has never said he intends to draft a first round QB. His prior history indicates he's not fond of rookie QBs startiing. Fans & media people are the ones saying that he's going to take a QB, not Payton. Here's a question; If Sean Payton is going to trade up or even stay at #12 & draft a QB, why are they also doing interviews with guys like Rattler & Pratt...who are going to be mid-round picks? That makes no real sense.

@@LockedOnBroncos I was not referring to you. The web is loaded with people who have a mic but know virtually nothing about what they are talking about. The bar to being a "draft guru" is exceptionally low these days.

That's fair! I honestly think there are a handful of really good draft people out there. Jordan Reid of ESPN is good, Ian Cummings of PFN is someone who I trust. He puts in a lot of work.

@@LockedOnBroncos There are probably 50 or more different KZbin draft gurus. Maybe 5 of them are any good. I saw two the other day doing a podcast who I am pretty sure were literally teenagers. You mention Pro Football Network. Coincidentally, I just did a look at them yesterday. This is a digital media content producer that is 5 years old. They exist only because a couple fans wanted to start a website. So far as I could tell, there were no coaches, scouts, players or more than a couple experienced journalists on their staff. They had one or two people with journalism backgrounds in sports that go back a few years. The rest of them appeared to be free lance writers, usually with minimal or almost no background in the NFL. A lot of it appears oriented to fantasy football...which is not real football...just info for people who gamble. This will obviously sound very old school, but I'm asking what qualifies any of these people? Before the era of social media, sports journalism was an actual profession. People went to journalism school, worked on newspapers or in broadcast channels. They built reputations over time as writers & got to know the players, coaches and front office people on the local teams. None of that is present now for about 95% of them. It's not even about accuracy or writing actual stories. "Stories" on these social media sites are almost non-existent. Usually an "article" amounts to something regurgitated by another source. Even somebody's proposed trade makes "news" these days...I'm talking about a "reporter" who proposes a trade. That actually draws traffic...why is that??? It's all about clicks, likes, follows & comments to drive advertising revenue. If you do some digging you often find that the guy breaking down the draft just decided one day to do this. Cecil Lamey is a good example. HIs background was in the tech sector until suddenly he was on the radio talking about his draft analysis. The same thing is true for most of these podcasters in this or any other sport. With the death of journalism, everyone is now a reporter, an expert or an "insider". There are precious few people who really do actual sports journalism now. Even fewer of them have credentials that would lead one to put much stock in their opinions. Prove me wrong sir.
