Problem is, Shedinja is actually a really bad pokemon, even with its unique ability, it still falls to a lot of types, one of them being fire type, one of the most common types in the game and one most players always have on their teams.

I would have used Venusaur for Zarbon personally, his transformed state looks WAY closer to it's face than it does to Feraligatr's warts and all and it has both a Mega and Gigantamax allowing it to transform where Feraligatr can't , it also has a closer color scheme to him Don't think it makes sense for Cell to have a Past Paradox, Iron Valiant makes more sense to me as well not just as a future paradox but as a fusion android of a male and female as a reference to the absorption of 17 and 18 sbd it also being created as "The ultimate psychic type" another artificial creation And tldr: the difference between Mythicals and Legendaries is that Mythicals could not originally be captured in the games themselves Also Buu needed a Scream Tail, with how ancient he is he's the character that should absolutely have a Past Paradox and the design just screams Buu

Another reason why Mewtwo works so well with Cell is the psychic typing. Cell used telekinesis to build his Cell Games arena (just like how Mewtwo set up a pokemon tournament), and one of Cell's ultimates in Dragon Ball Legends involves him using his telekinesis to finish off the opponents...

I get giving King Piccolo a bunch of Pokemon based on his weird mutant sons, but it's strange that half of his team uses sound-based attacks when Namekians are especially weak to loud noises due to their super hearing (though admittedly, I don't know if that weakness ever came up against King Piccolo in the original Dragon Ball). I mean, seriously, Exploud's default ability is Soundproof, which makes it immune to sound-based attacks. I know Ferrothorn was meant to represent Dodoria, but the shiny version vaguely has Golden Frieza colors, so it's kind of a subtle forewarning. Though giving Frieza Mega Mewtwo Y to rival Cell's Mega Mewtwo X would've been a funny nod to their rivalry in HFIL (even if it doesn't fit the source material).

I feel like some story things could be done with Frieza at least having regular Mewtwo as his main and ace in the hole when the emperor is first introduced. Mewtwo would have been pretty intimidating back in his own introduction, being both a legendary and Psychic in a generation when the type had no good counters --- matches well with how overwhelming Frieza was in the Namek saga. Plus if Giovanni could get Mewtwo to work for him, I imagine DBZ's own evil mastermind could similarly get the genetically modified kitty under his command. At least until our heroes finally get the upper hand and Frieza, being the sore loser he is, starts berating the pokemon for failing him, leading Mewtwo to decide "screw this" and fly off. No one knows for a while what happened to Mewtwo after that, until Cell arrives and reveals the latest addition to his team, now in the enhanced mega X form.

OK king piccolo team makes sense but the other three I think won't work because, 1: Frieza wouldn't have the patience to train his pokemon, 2: Cell wouldn't bother because he the prefect bean and all that, and 3: Buu would just eat them. Also here some what if ideas. What if frost was king cold son. What if king vegeta survived. And final What if frieza was female, so cold can finally have a real little pretty pink princess.

I would have expected Type: Null or Silvally with Cell, since (as far as i remember) it was made to be a sort of replica of God themself (the perfect being). And it can replicate any one of the 18 typings using Memories (Kind of like using the Techniques of the Z Fighters? sort of?) Then again, it evolves into Silvally through Friendship, so Mewtwo does make more sense.

Ghetsis, the villain who actively attempted murder against one of the players, had his ace Hydreigon have it, that thing HATED his master, even theorized to have mauled him... and the madman used that hatred to his advantage. And who does that remind you of?

I mean, he kind of is already. The only real difference between the ginyu force and pokemon is that they say more than just their name. Other than that, they behave pretty much the same as the squirtle squad. Max team of 6 frieza can throw zarbon in to really stretch out the rest. Afterall, there's nothing zarbon would love more than being treated as a slave and stretching a team of men out of a tight fit. Especially if he fights in the back.

I actually think Kyurem could have worked for King Piccolo many because there's lore saying that Kyurem use to be one with Rehiram and Zekrom which is similar to how King Piccolo use to be one with Kami then again concerning that in Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 Kyurem forcibly Fused with Rehiram or Zekrom depending on what version you're playing Kyurem could also work for Cell because Cell absorbs Android 17 and 18 by force or Super Buu considering super Buu was created by Good Buu being forcibly absorbed by Evil Buu and Super Buu forcibly Fuses with Piccolo Gohan and Gotenks

I feel like Pecharunt would have been a better fit for Super Buu than Slurpuff, as it's a fairly tough Pokemon (and it shares Gengar's Ghost/Poison typing which is a pretty good type combination) with actual mind control powers (which could be a nod to Babidi and his mind control powers). And giving Super Buu a team that consisted entirely of Mythicals and Legendaries (or at least Pokemon at or close to that level) would make sense as well with Buu's history and the fact that Buu himself was even treated as something of a mythical being even by the likes of Frieza & King Cold. Or, alternatively....Mimikyu replacing Slurpuff, as Mimikyu has a fairly innocent and harmless appearance at first glance, but when pressed it's actually shown to be downright terrifying when it shows it's true form....plus it's Disguise ability could even be a reference to how tough and resilient Buu himself is, as Mimikyu can take the first hit aimed at it, regardless of Power, and suffer no damage at the cost of it's Disguise being broken.

Kyruem would also thematically fit cell, its incomplete and can absorb its counterparts to get closer to its completed form(thought unlike cell, we never got to see the original dragon), the dragon type is a nod to piccolo and dragon ball as a whole and the ice type is also a nod to frieza and king cold.

In addition, Mega Mewtwo X making Mewtwo a buff Fighting type bears striking resemblance to Frieza’s 100% buff form. Combine that with the obvious cosmetic similarities and that both are iconic recurring characters who often play antagonistic roles occupying the status of the strongest beings? Comparing that to Glalie, which only contributes to Frieza via the fact that he’s named after ice and Glalie is ice (even though Frieza doesn’t have anything else to do with ice) and the mistreatment of his minions? Gotta say I personally feel like Mewtwo fits better, even if it is the boring answer.

Particularly problematic Pokemon pronunciation (my preference): Hydreigon: high-DRY-gon (from the German "drei", meaning 3. Following its evolutions: d-EIN-o, 1, and ZWEI-lous, 2) Reuniclus: ree-YOU-nick-lus ("reunion" + "cluster". You seemed to have the same trouble I had when first reading Fezandipiti. It was until reading the names of the 3 out loud to a friend that I figured out it's naming convention. Just like the other two are references to the phrases Hunky Dory and Okie Dokie, Fezandipiti is a play combining Pheasant and Serendipity so it is less likely to be pronounced fe-zan-dee-pee-tee a d more likely to be pronounced fez-an-dip-it-ty.

I think while the yummy Cute and tanky Slurpuff does work, I kind of wished Buu had Ditto. Ditto, much like all the forms of Buu, Copies his opponents, literally transforming himself to do it as he consumed them. Infact, instead of a Legendary Trio, because they actually don't fit him at all, Give him Ditto (Changing and copying), Swallot (Tanky Poison Type who has an entire move set about gulping down food to heal or attack), and if you really want to stick it as him being the biggest and baddest, Give him Necrozma. Infact let him cheat and let him pop out Dusk Mane, Dawn WIng or Ultra Necrozma randomly.

A lot of the comments talking about Zygarde for cell, I understand the thought but Zygarde is usually used as a "protector" of the earth/conveyer of the earth's desires, and to that end i believe it'd be better for Trunks. Upon his arrival to the past, he coukd have the single Core form, perhaps its all that was left in the future. As he and the others meet, it becomes the 10%, after some time and cell absorbs one android it could become the 50% and as the androids are removed from cell, the other core could also be removed. Perhaps it was used to stabilize the embreyo cell, whatever logic needed to get it there, it's there and it meets up with trunks' zygarde and fully becomes 100% in time to go back to the future, stop cell and save his timeline.
