I did like that although gomah was confident in his victory and was surprised in their arrival at the end of the episode he still was proactive in having people ready to fight back because he didnt know how but knew it was possible for goku and company to make it to the 1st demon world

Man, this series have makes me happy, giving me that nostalgia of the 90's. Quite sad is not getting the attention it deserves, but it is also understandable of why it is not getting it. Toriyama method of story telling did not age well for the current generation. Cocomelon rotted brains, i guess but man, the studio is really working hard to gives us good fluidity in the action scenes

As someone that hasn't been happy with a lot of Super era Dragonball, Daima has been a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately a lot of people want this to be a return to the more intense DBZ, and that's just not what Daima is.

I don’t care what other folks say, I found myself liking the gendarmerie special forces way more than Ginyu Force. These demons are just so much fun to watch in the short amount of screen time they’ve had. I suspect that while Gomah is aware of Neva’s senility being an act, he is probably still unaware of just how powerful Neva truly is, basically just assuming his magic is limited to anything regarding dragon balls (even the Tamagami were made specifically just to guard them). Gomah doesn’t see Neva tagging along with his enemies as a threat, at least not yet. Time will tell whether Neva will actually get himself more directly involved in the upcoming clashes (which could be insane to watch with his magic) or will purposely keep to the sidelines because “Nameks must not use their power for conflict.”

I think Neva is hidden from the "surveillance system". Either because he can actively choose to and/or because he created/installed it (as he did with so many other things apparently, like the Dragon Balls, the Tamagami, the inter-demon world blockade and who knows what else).

Gomah and Degasu know Neva's with them, we just don't get to see the rant. We get two quick cutaways to them at the start of Episode 11. One with Gomah muttering Neva's name when he meets the dragon team, and a little later, a flash of an angry mutter after Neva reveals his senility is an act.

Among everything else, Vegeta and Piccolo not doing anything to catch Goku when they should be fast enough to catch him in time was rather lame. Also was half expecting Piccolo to say" You should have DODGED!"

When the Gendarmerie bit happened the first thing I thought was "I wonder if Masako will like this or not" haha I am also really enjoying it. I think the "filler" will be way less of an issue when we don't have to wait a week between episodes. They really give the plot some room to breathe in my opinion so it's not just fight fight fight pew pew all the time I agree that it messed with the pacing but yeah mostly cus we have to wait a week

It felt like Toriyama was all over the Military Force and making it an intentional callback to the Ginyus, right down to having Gomah blush from awkward as they wrapped their intros--and it was perfect to me 😭 And yeah, getting Neva's incantation line from the early trailers here in context with the reveal that he was the one to set up the shields and stop intra-world traveling was great. Pretty solid episode. Endgame time! [Sad it really is down to six more episodes but it's been a fun ride.]

I found it amusing that Bulma is the one on this team who can't fly. I think her, Chi-Chi, the Ox King and maybe Roshi are the only ones who can't, and most of them have no excuse not to have learned. It took Vidal a fraction of the time those characters have been in the franchise to learn I'm Californian all my life and I immediately picked up on the temperature difference, how is no one sweating in that heat?

The Gendarmerie force were junking on the couch and scrambled into position. Then when they were done, made a mess of the place. They're paying for repairs! Hilarious. They treated the Majin bros to some chocolate like they were kids (technically are since they were just born). Cute. Neva is a bit mysterious. He's old, ancient, so I wondered if Neva would have children. I might've missed the memo on that. The team needs him for the Dragon Balls. If he goes down, it'd be expected after they summon. Otherwise, wouldn't it be a double shame? I noticed there's only 2 episodes dubbed. I don't know what was going on behind the dub team, but I don't hold them in high regard. It had looked like they delayed the release so they could milk a theatrical showing. It was one episode short of me considering that, but it was too expensive for me. Should've showed more episodes. Anime dubs in general tend to be far more ahead than Daima in release. The dub itself from episode 1 was pretty good quality, but the staggered release from the subbed version doesn't sit well with me. So I've been enjoying Daima. Getting to what seems to be the endgame already is bittersweet. We are reaching a culmination. Is that it for the adventure aspect? I really have enjoyed it. The "filler" too. I'm sure we'll get more silly moments. These discussion videos have been great too! Thank you for the reviews. They're refreshingly positive and helped give me a platform to spew out my thoughts.

I feel like Neva is somehow going to be revealed as the big bad. Like he basically tricked the Dragon Team to bring him along so when the Demon Realm Dragon is called he steals their wish and is made young and powerful (King Piccolo callback). I don't see the Majins being the big bads, nor Shin's siblings. Gomah is too much of a silly character whose strength has not been shown at all. Neva being the big bad could also imply he caused the other Nameks to leave.

I really enjoyed this episode, the Gendarmerie Force was truly funny and charming and I am looking forward to see them fight and I hope they stick around in the end like the two Majins Only nitpick is why did nobody try to catch Goku when he was falling? Also why is a dragon summoning incantation used for something else? Finally I wish we got to explore more of the second realm like what remains of the Glind Trees.

Daima is feels like watching photos of the children of a friend you haven't seen in a decade. You go 'oooh' and 'aaaah' and pretend to your friend and yourself that you're genuinely interested but the truth is you're so very bored. You look at those photos of his kids and you just miss the days when you and your friend went on somewhat childish but still very hardcore adventures together.

There are so many scenes on this show that defies the feats of these characters. Just watch any Flash show and see what characters with this speed can do, in a space of a second Goku and Vegeta should be able to go up and down landing everyone and everything and even saving the plane. The writers are always portraying them now as if they didn't move light speed before even dragon ball z even if it'd be short bursts, by now there should be no reason they're not on at least Quicksilver level

It seems to be from the games. In a few games, Nameks have a form called the Red Eyed Form, where they gain red eyes with their power ups. It is sort of connected to the dragons having red eyes

In my opinion, they are testing if they need to do dub (and if so, that pace) vs. sub. Consumers are more willing to accpect products with less substance than 10 years ago. If they cut corners not doing a dub version that save company minimal sum of money. Even if it hurts fanbase in the long. I like listen to dub version of anime when i am do cleaning around the house you cant do that with dubs(if cant understands the language)

I prefer dub since that's what I grew up with but since super I've been watching with sub and just watching the dub after it comes out. Right now my son and I are watching sub but we were both looking forward to binging some episodes in dub the moment it came out and were just deflated when we saw it was one episode. Dragon ball isn't the only franchise owned by people that don't respect it but damn the amount of screw you energy towards foreigners is annoying especially considering the franchise does better over seas you'd think they hate money or something
