I’ve seen so many German foreigns do well when taken care of properly. But then I’ve seen EVEN MORE that are absolute junk and sit in peoples driveways since they can’t afford to fix them. If you can’t afford an S Class or one with a warranty, then don’t get one. I remember my buddy had a mid 2000s Benz, one day the air bag went off while he was just driving around. When they get issues, it seems like it’s a huge wave of them. Always cost a pretty penny too, never heard of them being cheap to repair

uuuuh.. autozone can't "code out" an auto/DCT trans, it has tro do with the features coding in the DME and associated systems, you need to remove the factory feature codes, this requires INPA, or Bimmergeeks Protools, and a knowledge of factory coding so the auto/DCT trans VIN codes can be removed and the manual trans feature code added. kind of how you can also add certain features just by adding the feature code to the systems... like remote start, is literally just a feature code you can add to get, among some other nifty little things. it's also how you can add a CCC from CIC head unit but need to have the proper year code entered into your modules for it to work.

Yep I've got an Audi A4 from 2011 that's about a past 200k miles and we'll just keep on trucking, I do all the work myself and the car is basically flawless I follow everything to the book, it's not that hard to do all the research properly and buy the correct parts, and follow the damn torque specs too... Keeping it stock and clean!
