Maybe i'll play devils avocate for this so let's begin. Your Honor, you can't convict my client Archibald Corduroy for multiple reasons most obvious this man is alrighty dead. Yet I'm willing past that and give you another reason, my client has told that 150 years the northwest has hired him and many of his comrades into making northwest manor with a promise of a party for their labor. From what is shown in my clients backstory there is a total of 18 graves meaning 18 people have died during construction either it's due to exhaustion or by accident. Once the construction is complete the northwest family negletion on their promise this might as well be abuse of power since the northwest think so highly of themselves cause they have money. Once the mudslide accured my client was killed by a left behind axe used to cut down the very trees that has been used to make the northwest manor making that 19 lives lost. In his dying breath place a curse on the Northwest family for generations. So your Honor I demand my client will be given Leniency as the next of Archibald Corduroy and 18 others kin will be given the money for their ancestors efforts and all the sentences be given to the Northwest family while stripping them of their wealth so they can work along side the commonfolk of gravity falls.
