Sharing my notes: 06:28 What Advaita means is very simple: it just means there is only one reality. In ignorance, we believe there is more than one reality. (eg. that which is heard and that which hears) We believe one dies (the perceiver) but the other doesn't (the universe). So if one dies and the other doesn't, it means they are not the same. But if there are two realities, two independent realities that are independent of one another… how come they interact (in the act of perception)? If the seer and the seen interact, doesn't it mean that they are part of a bigger reality that encompasses both? If that is the case, none of those is its own ultimate reality. 15:10 We have to make a distinction between the chain through which perceiving takes places, the chain of instruments… * Perceiving takes place through these glasses. I am not my glasses. * It takes place through my eyes. I'm not my eyes. * so on …and the reality that perceives. Another way to look at this: everything is interconnected, so there are no separate entities. Separate entities are concepts. You are the universe that dances locally, like the vortexes in a river. They move, have a seeming independence, but to extract them from the river is an illusion. It seems to happen independently, on its own, but most of the things it does are on automatic pilot. Isn't the brain part of those things?

If you are universal consciousness then you are not separate consciousness who feels to like and want to produce something that it want. Then you serve the universe.

Consciousness is likened to a screen upon which the entire creation is projected upon. At a micro level, the mind is like the movie projector, projecting it's thoughts upon the screen of Consciousness, and the senses are the audience, always looking for excitement on the screen and many a times just where it is with it being liked being served popcorn and ice cream, while the poor mind demands the attention of the senses, but it is just not interested 😅......Vedanta is about being a good, attentive, keen-to-learn audience of this movie called 'Life & Death - the Grand Illusion Shattered'.

I was waiting until the questioner will clarify his question by saying the title of the video "if I am Universal Consciousness, why I can't manifest anything by will". But he hesitated and said "yeah", that he means "as separate entity". And plus Francis didn't answer that question in this video. But in other video Francis says, as Consciousness we have freedom to will anything, that we as Awareness have free will.

@@59Monik even when I've watched that video, I still have no answer to the question) I understand intellectually that as body-mind I don't have free will and have free will as Awareness. But I don't see-feel it experientially. I guess for that "the great recognition" must take place.

i feel like the question may be better framed as how were decisions made about this perception of separateness (eg, rules of physics)? is it immutable? could the infinite consciousness decide people should suddenly have gift of flight? or are we locked into predetermined rules governing our perception of reality?

I love advaita...but on the other hand when one has complex trauma it brings questions that are often bypassed by teachers. If don't manifest...what chooses that one illusory seperate being eexperinces a lot of trauma and another doesn't...

I would ask this question. You recognized yourself. Realized. You are now consciousness not the bundle of feelings etc. like we are. You are not less than God himself. Then please manifest something for us. He cant manifest because he is in the beginning of the path which begins after 2nd stage of realization. But it is possible. Many things are possible. It requires time. 8 siddhis were mentioned in scriptures...

'You're One All Person, aka Universal Consciousness', with no break in the continuity from local to Cosmic. Why no break? Because You're the Indivisible all-persasive reference field. Only what 'is not what it seems to be' is the break that causes a separation from the flow of intent to manifestation. That separation is you manifesting your isolationist conclusion since you never stop being Universal Consciousness'. The question is rooted in ignorance, a strong belief that he is separate from Universal Consciousness and not able to instantly manifest, hence the result, his conclusion is the command.

I have often asked the question offered by the young man: presumably what he meant by 'I' is an individuated self. Though it may well be the case that the fundamental nature of reality is a single self, a single mind; it is equally fundamental that there is also separation however illusory you consider that separation to be. I am individuated and as such i have different thoughts and desires to other individuated selves. I did not understand your point, it was very difficult to grasp. The question was why can 'I' not manifest an object by simply willing it, if i am the sum total of all that there is and if i poses/am the infinite power of consciousness? Am i to understand from your response that we already do manifest objects to perceive but it isn't as simple as simply wishing an object to exist in that particular moment because the one existent reality is one with governing laws? PS i really liked the analogy of the vortices in a river and what you said about the human body being a way the universe dances.
@brahmasatyamjaganmithya67087 жыл бұрын
"The question was why can 'I' not manifest an object by simply willing it" it´s a typical body-mind grounded question, because it is not a question of the will nor a question of inteligence. It is a question of consciousness. Will is limited.
@michaelmcclure33837 жыл бұрын
Jasmine blake is there any personal will at all? No manifest entity can will anything.. because its just an object.. a manifestation itself. Haha The will is always the impersonal will.
@hedevindaniel37473 жыл бұрын
Life is a mystery whereby a human being who is only an object of consciousness possesses potentially and virtually the same intrinsic power of universal consciousness or God. However, we must first of all forget all objective reality and reason and resonate according to the true subjective reality. Neville Goddard explains this well through a good decoding of the Bible. '' The Father and I are One, but the Father is greater than I, for the conceptor is always greater than the conception. " God became man so that man could become God

if Francis is the ultimate reality, then why can't he produce objects out of space like sun or moon or even a new species?
@TheKstuart7 жыл бұрын
Uh clearly, he did - given that I can see a sun and a moon and various species. If you are considering "Francis" to be separate from that-which-created-the-sun-and-the-moon, then "Francis" is finite and thus not the ultimate reality.
