I have been a fan of NIN since Highschool (90's) -- my daughter's favorite is Halsey... SO this is just perfect. You can really hear the NIN touch in the ballad 1121 though -- listen again to NIN's song "Hurt" AND in The Lighthouse I hear DOOM METAL. 😍

Old School NIN fan here and I've always loved Halsey; together they perfectly complement each other and create a synergy that lifts both performers up. Blown away that this album wasn't nominated for even one Grammy. An amazing album- so many genres they cover and nail, I'd put this up against OK Computer, Operation Mindcrime and The Joshua Tree.

SO EXCITED YOU REACTED TO IT. I love every song. I struggle to pick a favorite but I’m leaning towards honey. It’s SO addictive, I played it for two hours straight the other day 😅. Bells in Santa Fe is addictive. You asked for this is so lush. Darling and Ya’aburnee are both so pretty it hurts. But I genuinely love EVERY SONG. I needed this album 😂❤️

It wasn’t co-written. H wrote it all and came up with melodies and such. Trent and Atticus didn’t write any of it (most tracks were written before they became a part of the project. But yes they did produce. You’ll also hear instrumentals from Lindsey Buckingham, Dave Grohl, and a few others!

Even though I know what you mean that they didn't really write on the songs in majority but both Trent and Atticus hold song writing credits for every song on the album according to the credits link from the back of the album.

I'm surprised how all the old NIN/Trent tricks work really well with Halsey's vocals. The self-harmonizing is a NIN staple, starting with With Teeth. This album delivers, though. IT's like, world, welcome to NIN. NIN fans, welcome to the world!
