Out of all the terrific music that's performed on Nashville (by actors who can really sing), these two (Clare and Sam) are so incredibly special. Their voices match in a way that is totally unique, and really gives me goosebumps. They are the main reason I watch the show. I hope the writers don't split them up (even though they are outstanding solo singers who can do varied genres, it's when they team up as a duo that their music becomes 'magical').

Do yoyrself a favour and watch the pilot and there are two moments that got me hooked. At 16:40 Deacon (Charles Esten) @charlesesten is singing, playing guitar on 'Back Home' in a music circle at the legenday Bluebird Cafe surrounded no doubt by some of Nashville's finest musicians. And later at 37:40 the song that knocked me over was when Gunnar (Sam Palladio)@sampalladio and Scarlett (Clare Bowen) @clarembee, during her shift as a server at the Bluebird, get to the stage and sing, a poem she wrote, 'If I Didn't Know Better' . I just wathced it again, twice.... still gets me. Hard. My god those voices are magic together. Those two songs in theis pilot show the real soul of the show that I wish were more prominent during the series. The cast that were just on tour are the true artists of Nashville and need to be seen live on stage. #nashvillereuniontour

I think the main reason I have and always will have hope for a Gunnar&Scarlett reunion is because Watty compared them to Deacon&Rayna and we all know Deacon&Rayna end up together because they are the "it" couple of the show. Just like with Deacon&Rayna, Scarlett&Gunnar have undeniable chemistry that not only shows when they're romantically together but especially when it comes to the music, this performance was the beginning of an amazing (TV) couple.

This show Nashville, has some of the best country western songs I've heard in a long time. It's by far better than some of that so called modern country western they play on the radio these days. Best, first song I heard on the show, in a long time, by Clare that gave me chills. Wicked song, clearly shown of characters and their dark secrets, skeletons in closets, a great opening to the show. Also, love the mysterious dark feel, vibe! Does anyone consider this more Blues song or Pop/Rock? I think it sounds more like a Blues song. The live one is just as good, and proves Clare has natural talent and not just the dubbed remixed stuff out today. One of my absolute favorites since the start of the show.
