I have had many people offer to pray for me and lay hands on me yet I still have Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. I have even been told that if I had more faith I'd be healed. I, personally, have learned to be content and use my story for God's glory. I believe sometimes it takes more faith to live faithfully despite my physical limitations than to seek a divine healing.

I would want to say something about confession of sins. It may be done but it’s pastor or someone who can sincerely listen to you and pray openly for forgiveness in Jesus name. Do not be afraid to do so, even if you believe you did not sin much in anything at all. We are all cane short of glory of God. And faith is another key to ask Jesus to heal anyone who is desperate in healing. I am sick too, and today two pastors visited me in the hospital and that’s what I did with them both. I believe I did a right thing. And it’s up to God now when and how to heal my sick body. I start with glorying mighty Jesus name and then ask to touch me with His healing power. It takes time and patience. I know my faith is growing and I love how it is strengthening me inside out ! I cannot stop now, I am in Jesus healing hands and must stay this way until I get the answer. Everything is very personal here. Please multiply your faith, do not let any doubts attack you ! One woman touched Jesus’s close and got healed ! Her incredible faith Jesus have felt as a strength coming out to her as she just touched his clothes ! And at that time Jesus was surrendered by crowd of people ! Yet, He felt her faith touching Him ! He was looking who touched Him ! And said to her that her FAITH HAD SAIVED HER ! What an incredible example we got in this testimony ! I will pray for your healing and that’s what Christians need to do for one another, I love my family in Christ. Wishing you all the best, I am also awaiting for my healing as well. God bless you.

Agreeing and standing in faith for healing and in the same breath speak regardless of whether healing comes or not is double mindedness. Your faith is not the problem but you need to deal with your unbelief could be. What your wife believes also matters. When you stand praying believe you receive.

If you read in Mark 1 it says that ALL the sick and demon possessed were brought to Jesus. The whole town gathered at the door. Jesus healed many that had various diseases. Just because everyone was looking for him the next day does not mean that they needed Healing as Jesus had already healed all the sick as the whole town had gathered there. The Bible tells us that Jesus went about doing good and Healing all that were oppressed of the devil. Acts 10:38. Not some. ALL. The Word of God is the truth and by Jesus stripes we are healed Isaiah 53:5 . 2 Peter 2.24. Matthew 8.17. We are not to twist scripture to suit our circumstances, but to teach the Word of God as it is written. Truth trumps reality. Joni your reality is not the truth of God’s Word.

@Krissy Hall he's not discounting. He's rightfully telling us what scripture says. Joni was wrong about this verse. I'm sorry but we cannot interpret scripture based off of our experiences. @marionwinemachinery8932 - I completely agree with you!!! I wish people had enough humility to say, they lack faith. I know I do! That's why I ask people to pray for me, so the Lord would give me faith, so I can be healed. I don't lie to myself. As I wrote before, I got a gift of faith to pray (successfully!) for my neighbour. God delivered Him from 45 years of alcoholism. BUT.... I know that it was not my faith, but God given urge to pray for him without ceasing for 2 years. My faith could do nothing, I suspect. People confuse believing in God's existence, and believing in His will to heal. They have the first type of faith, but lack the other (myself included!). It's not their fault, they are oftentimes unaware of it. But once we 're aware, we should ask for faith. And also, people go to frauds, who call themselves "faith healers". No faith healers will behave like a theatrical guru, rock star or a celebrity. People who do have faith to move the mountains rarely live in lavish mansions, are seen on tv and have private jets. Just saying.

I am a recovering sex addict for fifty yrs I have battled this horrific sin But its only in the last five yrs I have gone deeper into Christ that I have started to find freedom Why didn't God remove it immediately when I was saved Why doesn't God heal instantly when we cry out The key is NOT what's important to us BUT what's important to God And what's important to Him is our eternal salvation These bodies of disease and pain and suffering will be gone when we die We'll get new bodies pain free So it's our spiritual healing that matters to Him and that is what should matter to us first EVERYTHING ELSE is not a right but Gods mercy
@josuam55024 жыл бұрын
I'm so happy to hear, that you are recovering. As someone is struggling with porn and masturbation for 15+ years, this encourage me to keep fighting the sin. For 3 years now my desire to watch porn has decreased and the desire to repent and study Gods' Word has increased. I've learned, that we christians need to learn to fight against sin. How long it takes to overcome it, is not necessarily the important thing. What matters is, that we DO fight against it and grow in repentance. Confess, repent and pray for one and another. It's never easy and it really takes patience (because that what we should do, if we really love Christ), but you can be sure that if you stay in Christ, Christ will definitely help you overcome it. I'm also deaf and still: spiritual healing matters more, than my physical healing (because as you've said: One day, all the pain and suffering will be gone)! Jesus has already changed my behavior in other areas: I'm no longer angry or quarrelsome. I am more careful and considerate with words. I let people correct me. I have become (very) patient. I used to play a lot of video games. For 5+ years I'm no longer interested in playing video games, etc. I am sure that Jesus will help me to overcome the remaining weaknesses in my life! Jesus can and will help us, but we must do the first steps!

I learned that my flesh will die, this body will return to dust. I would love to be completely healed but that's up to God. My current situation has drawn me closer to my Lord. I'll take that any day over my body being 100% healthy but losing my soul. I do believe, have faith that God can heal me. I believe that God created all that exists, healing my body is nothing for him, but his will for now is for me to go thru this and maybe until the day I die. Good news is that after I pass away I will have a body that no longer aches. To God be the glory!

Hey, I'm profoundly deaf and also have to deal with chronic tinnitus..I feel you...on some days there is so much pain...I cry and pray to god, to make it stop. When I feel very bad, I do this: On my bookshelf I have some illustrated bible books for kids that I take out and then read it when I feel bad/have to deal with pain. Sometimes I also watch old Christian movies (e.g. the 10 Commandments), or sometimes pray just before sleep and talk to God. It helps me to keep my childlike faith in Christ and I am usually totally peaceful afterwards. It's just reminds me, that there will be a day where all pain and suffering is gone! My advice for you is to find a "flee to god"-tactic, whenever you have to deal with pain. Talk and pray with a brother/sister in christ...or have quality time together. Also important (beside praying): Tell your christians brothers and sisters, what they can do do ease your pain! Do not be afraid to ask for help :)

I feel powerful and confident, its like God himself acts on my behalf. If you genuinely say the rosary you will truly see changes in your life, believe me guys. Its real. I always believe that staying genuinely good, praying the rosary and staying close to God, like the saints did is the best way to be healed and be free from your bonds. I hope I survive this pain. I hope I make it. I truly love God, I am just finding it difficult to commit to him because of my pain, because of which I start losing faith and get angry with god. Sometimes I feel like he's left me on some days. Please pray for me, I am struggling in life.

What a brave lady! Did you notice in 2 Cor 12:7-10 Apostle Paul speaks of a thorn being given in the flesh to keep him from being too elated? He then says that 3 times he appealed to the Lord about this so that it would leave him, but that the Lord said "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness." Paul said in verses 9-10: "So I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities for the sake of Christ; for whenever I am weak, then I am strong." He had previously spoken of the beatings, stoning, shipwreck, fear and danger he had experienced, yet he also spoke of how God delivered him (verses 23-30). By experiencing the most awful things, we have empathy for others. God does not leave us. He didn't leave Paul, yet he still had a weakness troubling him.

It was touching but I feel the answer to the question wasn't answered exactly. Joni says even a little faith the size of a mustard seed can do things. But I always took that to think we don't have any belief at all that when we say to the very literal mountain move, that it will. We don't believe that it actually will for one second, we don't even have faith the size of a mustard seed. We can hope but... It seems to me that if we actually believe when we pray that a mountain will move or the lame will walk, without a doubt in our mind or heart, then it will happen. But... When many pray and still nothing like Joni... That's what concerns me a lot. Is it that as Jesus said to his disciples that we are the same: "an unbelieving and perverse generation” Luke 9:21. Jesus tells his twelve disciples that they needed more faith to bring the healing to the boy, and they already saw Jesus do so much. After Jesus death and resurrection we see the disciples had no more problems healing so many. In another Gospel same story Jesus said to his disciples that prayer and fasting is what does it, and another Gospel same story he says you need faith. So it seems obvious that prayer and fasting increases faith. Prayer and fasting is spending time with God, and through relationship with Him our faith is increased. Faith is a gift from God and we can never boast to our own merit. I hope Joni finds her physical healing here on earth but I am very happy to hear of her loving relationship with the Lord. She was right this is indeed our priority but let's not get too complacent. Jesus told us to heal the sick, cast out demons, cleanse the lepors and raise the dead. I want God to use me more and to see all of you do that too. To God be the glory.

We can have all the faith in the world for God but when it comes to things such as our healing, we don't. We may hope and pray for it but do we really believe with all our hearts? Most of us don't. This is contradicted to Andrew Wommack teaching.If God only wants to heal some and rejected the others who asked for His healing,it means God is respecter of a person,that there is inequality on the way He treats men.No,God loves us all equally,and he dont wants his child to be in pain and suffering, that's why He volunteer Himself to be tortured so that we could be make whole.She's right in the Bible people were searching for him and sometimes He have to hide,not because He dont wants to healed the sick,but because He need a quite time for himself.Plus,it is not written in the Bible that those people who search for Him when He was hiding were the sick people.

God's will is made clear in the bible. On healing it is clear- by his stripes we were healed. Not going to be, not future but past. If anything happens and we dont experience the healing - we arent suppose to sweep under the carpet of "if it be his will". Joni is brave and used this situation to God's glory but to say that God defaulted on his word or is ambiguous is to talk in error. Is God equivocal concerning salvation? Maybe he saves some and doesnt others - to his glory. Jesus said whatever you desire , when you pray ... believe that you receive! Does that sound equivocal? The same verses in isaiah that talks about Jesus being bruised for our sins also talks about him being battered for our healing!! Would God go to great lengths to heap our sins on an innocent man and unconditionally save all who ask, yet not heal all? We should stop talking what suites us. Simply say, i dont know what made not to receive my healing. Say i dont know, but to say it is not God's will to always error.

Can you explain Mark 16 18 and what it means to an everyday believer? And what does it mean to a person who says he has the gifts of the holy spirit, or fruits of the holy spirit, which is more common, as a sign that they do have the holy spirit?
@julienielsen37467 жыл бұрын
We can cast out devils, If we study His Word concerning casting out devils, and have faith by doing that. Tell God that you would like to be baptized in the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues. And say I believe I receive the Holy Spirit and speaking with new tongues. He will do it if you if you receive it and believe it. I prayed for it one day and the next day I could hearing in my heart/spirit words. So I opened my mouth and let those words come out of my spirit. I pray in tongues when I do not know what to pray, because God does. Like when I pray for what is going on in the world or my country. God knows what is really going on. I don't. Bt, that way I can pray what God wants me to pray. Also satan cannot understand what we are praying, so it keeps him from hindering our prayers. There is also the gift of speaking in tongues which is a special gift for some who ask for it. It is for praying in tongues in large groups / in church. God speaks through them a message for the group/church. Then someone else who has gift of interpretation will translate what has been spoken in tongues. If we accidentally get bitten by a snake or anything else poisonous, or eat or drink anything we could get sick from or anything in it that may harm us, it will not hurt us if we pray and trust God for us to be delivered from it. This is why we should pray over our meals. I pray for God to bless and sanctify the food and drink that I have, and I thank Him for it in Jesus Name. We also through praying and studying God's Word learn how to pray over and lay hands on the sick. So, God will heal them through our faith in His willingness to heal. 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. The Fruit of the Spirit : Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering / endurance of faith, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness , Gentleness, Self Control. You should study in God's Word about each and let that Word get into your spirit by studying it and thinking about each one in the Word. These are the qualities we should have in our spirits as Children of God. Be open and willing for the Holy Spirit to work these qualities into you personality.

sometimes we need to be at the lowest part of our life to find Jesus. i noticed people that are very famous and on the top with billions of money they feel they do not need God. they feel they are doing good this is why they are rich. they don't even think of the creator...the one that gave them the riches they chased for ..rather chasing the riches in Heaven when they leave this earth.

On the other hand, there are regular, also very poor people who know that with God's help they won't survive. To them, such long, painful tests of faith are terrible. By they way, they are also people who lose faith due to severe suffering and sense of rejection by unanswered prayers. That fact we found Jesus doesn't mean the trial will end immediately. And that's the problem.

The Bible clearly teaches that the church is to be the physical extension of Jesus Christ here on Earth and that the church is to fulfill the full ministry of Jesus Christ the ministry that he part took of while he was here on this planet...also the Bible states that He healed all that came to him... therefore healing is a part of the ministry of Christ just as the forgiveness of sin... in which sin is the cleansing of all evil(sin) that has come upon mankind through the fall of Adam...in the Old Testament we readof a dead man being tossed on top of the body of another dead man who is Elijah who was so filled with the Spirit of God even in his physical body after death,once the dead corpse touched his body it became alive... and this was before Christ had ever come,now that He has arrived what more shall we be blessed with within the New Covenant?...as the Bible states is built upon better promises....Also may I add,that the disciples had a complaint in which there was one healing also who did not follow them and Jesus response was he who was not against us is for us... because the church has become infiltrated because the church is divided because the church has differences of doctrine...what we see today is a watered-down version of the true reality in which the church is to display... if Jesus was here right now walking around on Earth would he heal the sick today...the Bible also states that Jesus is the same today,yesterday and tomorrow.

I love Joni and read her story many years ago. But I'd believe Gods word not her experience.Likewise, believe Gods word not my comments or experiences. Faiths focus is in the promises of God it's not in Jesus. The promises of God are all "Yes" and "Amen" in Jesus.Hope as great as it is is not faith.. What is great in her testimony is the presence of hope in God. Trust the word of God. ISAIAH 53:4-5; Mathew 8:14-17; Acts 10:38,1 Peter 2:24, Mark 16:18.Mark 11:24.

Also when it comes to healing you should follow the example of the disciples and Jesus they always have commands ... command your body to line up with the word of god .... Jesus isn’t saying no it’s just the devil trying to trick you .... trust me I know

Yes it's amazing that Joni is so filled with joy, so I went to her website and the first thing I see is "Give Joni a present!" So here we go again. You preach one thing and do another. Jesus never begged anyone for anything ever. We should not beg if we believe that God will provide. It's so sad that you are greedy beggers. God wants us to believe and he will provide.

Todd Wagner. Jesus has ALREADY healed us, Isaiah 53: 3--5. Matt 8: 17--17. 1 Pet 2: 24.And healing always comes, Mk 16: 17--18. James 5: 15.There are three main reasons why people don't receive healing, And none of them are down to God.[1]Lack of knowledge. God says His people are gone into captivity because they have no knowledge Isaiah 5: 13, Hosea 4: 6 say people are destroyed through lack of knowledge.But Jesus sais we shall know the truth, And it will set us free, Jn 8: 31--32.[2]Lack of faith, See how many times Jesus says things like, "Thy faith has healed you, According to Thy faith. Jesus is no respecter od people, That means If He has healed ONE person, He is bound by His word and His love, to heal everyone who will believe.[3]Sin, disobedience and unforgiveness, They will always hinder the Blessings of God.Faith is an act, It's not us waiting for God to heal us, It's God waiting for us to receive healing by acting in faith.I Through God's power, can get people like Joni healed every time, If they accept and believe what the Bible says. Please tell Joni that, and arrange for her to contact me.Tell her I'm not going to pray for her, I'm going to heal her by the power of God and the might name of Jesus.

Amen. I believe a remnant like us are called to will rise up in these last days and take God at his Word, like our fore runners such as Smith Wigglesworth, Kuhlmann, A.A. Allen, Kenyon, and others.

I am not sure which is worse...not being able to physically walk or spiritually walk. To be hinder in your relationship with the lord and unable to do what he has told you. He keeps telling me to put the past behind and walk, and be useful to Him and move forward in the body and serve and walk away and be new, but I am stuck in this small town with nothing to do, just judgement, unable to move and serve, the same way someone would be unable to find work here or a spouse here (everyone is over the age of 45/50 and seniors). I don't know what I am supposed to do tomorrow when I wake up, or where I am supposed to go. Already brought what the Lord laid on my heart to the pastors, and the body (wasted today....and a couple of years) with people just telling me to wait on God's timing, it not mine....but He is telling me to walk! I just have no place to walk and nothing to do and not many people available to fellowship.
